Northern NH girls love mens bootss!
The media could not be loaded. When you get these boots, the box alone will let you know you're about to see and feel that you've made the right purchase. If you've struggled to find winter boots that WILL provide everything and I mean everything, the fit (if you up size it as they do run small) the warmth, water resistance, traction, light weight, and a stylish look??? Then STOP SHOPPING!, because you have finally found the right winter boots. The removable liner is amazing and of high quality you'll love immediately. In my experience with a removable liner which are a must for me. Remove the liner from the boot, then slip it on and then insert you & the liner into the boot to get a better fit and foot adjustment once in the boot for the first time and then it should be good after that. (That's just me but do you of course.) The liner has a few layers and is the perfect thickness and wicks away moisture.Women's vs. men's sizes are different, so ladies know your mens size and up size from there. Love the quick full boot pull laces and top pull sinch lace for the added extra to keep the weather out. The exterior material is rugged & the extra thick. The reinforced toe area makes for extra protection from the terrain. Though not needed and just my preference, I may condition the leather to keep them extra flexible over time. The inner sole is pretty comfy but if you up size you could add a gel insert. They are so light weight you can walk without the clobby boat anchor feeling and haven't dragged or scuffed the bottoms, truly light weight. After walking in the snow and it melted off & the water beaded & never got in the boot and my feet stayed dry and warm.I have no problem with all day wear and if my feet got to warm it was a quick fit to just losen both the boot and top cuff laces and allow my feet to vent a while. I have no issue driving a vehicle while wearing them like some reviews noted.Thank you BAFFIN for coming to Amazon so I can find your amazing boots, my search is over and I'll be back for more in the future your "Snow Monsters" are so deserving of 5 stars.

Incredibly comfortable fit & warmth; perfect winter boots!
These are truly one of the most comfortable winter boots I’ve ever owned. They are incredibly easy to put on, just step in and the boot swaddles your foot like a glove. While on the bulkier side (roughly the size of ski boots) to ensure warmth and comfort, they are still very light and manageable. The boot even has enough flexibility to fit custom made orthotics perfectly. Best of all — they keep your feet warm, even in the coldest of conditions, and yet manage to keep the temperature even and comfortable when worn indoors. (Car etc.)

Best boots ever
From my wife - “So bought these to do Aurora viewing in Fairbanks AK when temperatures were suppose to be low 30’s. Instead it was high teens and low 20’s. These kept my feet warm, warm, warm. Most comfortable and warm boots I have ever owned”!

Best Feet and Toe Savers
I work construction and the ski industry in bitter cold, snowy and icy conditions. Sorel makes a good boot, but Baffin makes a better boot for vapor release and heat retention. Lot more durable. Baffin stands behind their boots but I've never had a problem. This is my second pair. Boots fit to size. So size up if you're between sizes. I'm a 10 1/2. The 11 is a good fit that allows for extra socks if needed. The removable linings help adjust for warmer temps. I find it best to start with thin socks and then layer as needed rather than taking off socks. If your feet have gotten sweaty, dry em off and put another pair of socks on so the others can dry. Definitely wear clean socks and keep a dry pair handy. Don't put the boots on until you're ready to go outside. You'll sweat if you don't, then you got wet feet that'll freeze. If you go back inside for a while, take the boots off for same reason. In the old days when we didn't know better, we put a plastic bag over thick wool socks and then wondered why our feet were wet. Not much different with homes that are so air tight with no ventilation/vapor release you get moisture. If you have a high arch, you'll need insoles. I pasted heavy duty aluminum foil on the bottom of the insoles for extra heat retention. The sole is very rigid, grips very well. But if you're on ice for extended periods, put the chains or crampons on to save your glutes, back, head and elbows. The Snow Monsters are rated at -94 F. But if you have low circulation, metabolism or alcohol or any sensory suppressent in your system, you might feel cold, but you won't freeze. Use the toe warmers if needed. But eat a good meal of carbs, protein and good fat to help get the burn going and you'll be fine. But technically, you don't want warm feet. Your feet'll sweat. Cool, even slightly cold feet is really best where you can still feel your toes and move em around to keep circulation going.

Comfortable, warm and easy to walk in (black = great all around color, brown = rustic work boot)
My wife was looking for a warm boot she can wear on really cold days here in Ottawa (think -20 to -30C) but could also use to go snowshoeing, play in snow with our son, etc. She has wider feet and vast majority of women's winter boots were too narrow AND not warm enough. Men's boots on the other hand both fit her well AND featured extra insulation. We must have looked at over two dozen women's and men's boots in this search and at the end of the day she settled on these Snow monsters. Here's why:- These boots feature a -70C rating but despite being rated for such low temperatures they're not as heavy, stiff or even bulky as many other boots. Her big problem with warm men's boots was just how stiff and bulky many of them were. For example, these boots are actually more flexible than Baffin Crossfire boots that are "only" rated to -40C!- These boots are well-made. Seemingly better than other Baffin boots even- They have a good combination of being comfortable yet tight enough to walk long distances or use with snowshoes. My wife tried both the black and brown colors of this boot. The brown pair looked a LOT more rustic than the black one. She went with the black as it's a good cross-over for wear in the city on really cold days and out for snow hikes. Brown pair would likely show any scuffs less and would make for a better work boot.So far the boots have done great in mild weather (around 0C) remaining completely dry despite being worn for an hour in deep snow. They weren't too warm for these days, which is a great sign. My wife only tried these boots for a short period of time in temperatures below -20C so it's a bit too early to say how they'll do during prolonged exposure but they definitely inspire complete confidence (I'll update my review if there are any problems)P.S. The only thing you need to know is that the snow gaiters at the top of the boot make it hard to tuck jeans or regular pants into the boot and they likely won't be wide enough to go over the boot either. This is not an issue if you're using snow pants with a base layer since your base layer easily goes into the boot and snow pants go over it .

Beautiful Boots- Well made- Would love to have kept - Too small in the calf area for me
I really love these boots. I just got them tonight and could instantly tell these are quality boots. I wear a size 13 so I purchased a size 14 because I have some swelling in my feet and legs and wanted some room for a heavy sock. I tried on the right boot and they were very tight getting them on. The problem was my jean leg will not come up my leg calve because it has some swelling. With the jean in the way the area over my leg was very uncomfortable and way too tight on the inside of the boot. This has nothing to do with the boots or manufacture, it's just me.If you have normal legs- these boots would be great for you. If you have swelling or very thick legs or calves, they are not the boot for you. The lining was very thick on the sides and the foot area was so thick and comfortable around my foot. I'm really wanted these to work but sadly I am returning them.

So very comfortable/ Remove the liner after every use
I live on the 49th parallel and work north of 60 on mineral exploration projects. These boots are lighter than they look and have very comfortable thick insulation.I found walking to be the high side of normal, not yet clunky and your ankle will still flex when you walk so theyre quite comfy to move at walking speeds. What I learned after being able to with stand -30 for hours standing still and then the next day being cold in -10 is that I have to remove the lining each day to dry out the inside of the boot.theyre waterproof so condensation builds between the boot and the insulation and doesnt dry out. Even after a few days its still wet. luckily after a few times it becomes habit and its not difficult to put them back in. Id still give them 5/5 because theyre waterproof and thats what happens.
