Sorel Women's Leather and Suede Snow Boot, Grey Quarry Black, 8.5

These boots run very small. I normally wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and had to go up to a size 9 to get a decent fit. I originally ordered the 8 1/2. They were just too short. The 9 is a bit roomy but I can wear thicker socks or I can also fit my orthotic in the boots. So overall, they are good. They are very warm and lightweight and stylish!

ORDER ONE FULL SIZE UP AT LEAST. My usual size is 7.5, 8.5 fits and if I wanted extra room to wear really thick socks then I probably would have needed a size 9. Other than that, these are good quality, attractive boots with great insulation to keep you warm.

12/3/18: While I think the price tag for these is hefty, I got excited to try these boots. When you're cold or approaching declining weather, warm and cozy items are all too attractive. Thanks to other reviews, I ordered 1/2 size up than usual and they fit well. I wouldn't want them smaller. They are soft and cozy as described. From the top looking down, with pants over the top of the shoe, they remind me of large sneakers. They're easy to walk in without clomping around like another pair of full sized snow boots I own. Good initial impression. I have only worn them taking my dog outside a couple times now, not for hours or in the snow yet, but they were warm and comfortable. If that changes with use and time in the next few months I will update my review. 12/28/18: I love these boots. They are so darn comfortable. I've gotten compliments on them as well. I wear them to walk the dog and when running errands or short casual outings. I've worn them a couple times to commute to work (short walk to bus, bus to metro, metro to office), and I wore them all day Christmas day. (I don't know how I didn't burn up, but somehow they stayed comfortable and I didn't want to take them off.) I briefly wore them in light rain (mostly b/c I didn't know it'd rain) and they seemed just fine. The fronts are starting to get a bit scuffed but I hope they last for multiple seasons! No snow tests yet, but I bet that will change next month!

I absolutely adore these boots! I never spend this much on shoes, but I know this brand is quality. I needed something to keep me warm while at a football game with temps in the 20s and 30s up north, but also something I could still comfortably wear here in Texas. These did the trick! So comfortable standing and walking for hours. No backache! And look absolutely adorable! They are not as dark as some of the pictures, BUT they perfectly match the one picture I was looking at to ensure they wouldn’t be too brown.

These boots are very warm for the winter. I wore them in below 0 temps and my feet stayed warm. I normally wear a size 8 but ordered an 8.5 and they are slightly snug. Would recommend sizing up.

Love them, looks great and very comfortable. After reading reviews I did go up half a size and they fit perfect. Can’t wait to wear a stylish, comfortable boot on my vacation in Utah!!

I am so disappointed in Sorel! I have always known them to make solid, rugged boots, the kind you can wear in any weather or terrain. These are more of a "fashion bootie" I assume they are intended to make a fashion statement, not to keep out the damp or snow or keep your feet warm. I was hoping for a well-made, rugged boot for snowy days. Aside from cheap fabric, they are not even comfortable. My toes can feel some kind of fabric ridges inside the boots, they cannot be tied tightly enough to give you a solid footing, the fabric that looks like grey flannel doesn't seem like it will last long.

I wanted a cute pair of boots for around town or trudging in to work through deep snow so I don’t ruin my dress shoes or sit around with wet feet all day. I read the reviews that these run small so ordered a half size up (I usually wear 7.5-8 and ordered 8.5). They are a perfect fit. So far I have just worn them for errands and on some walks around the neighborhood in minimal snow/ice. Love them. I did spray them with a water repellent spray to protect them. The only complaint is that the tongue on one has a spot that irritates my ankle if I don’t have it just right.

These boots are warm, comfortable and good for walking in. The one thing I would suggest to anyone looking to purchase is use the foot measurement graphic as the sizing is different...... i would buy a 5 in shoes, sandals, boots and have no problems but when i measured for these boots using their guide I ordered a 6.5 and sure enough they fit perfectly

Toller, sehr bequemer Schuh! Er ist warm, aber hatte mir aufgrund der anderen Rezessionen mehr erhofft. Auf jeden Fall einen kleinen Tick größer nehmen. Hab normal Größe 39, hier 39,5 bestellt und zufrieden damit. Auf jeden Fall dicht, auch bei tiefen Schnee und Schneematsch! Kaufempfehlung!

I loved the style & look & warmth ,but had to send 2 pairs back & gave up, as each time one boot was comfortable & the other fitted smaller, tighter & rubbed my ankle, I was so disappointed as I know they are a good make but even buying up a size to normal this all still happened, not a good buy!!!

We don't have a lot of snow where I live but it does get cold and sometimes a bit slippery. I got these boots and they suit my needs really well. They are easy to put on and off, they are very warm and they are waterproof. However, I didn't find them to have a lot of grip, so probably not the best for extremely snowy or icy environments.

I walk a lot in the winter and they are comfortable and warm. It’s nice that I can use my own orthotics in them.
