A TASTE OF HISTORY - Wassail, a hot mulled wine or mulled cider drunk as part of wassailing, is an English ritual and toast to a good apple harvest. Wassail began as a spiced wine that resembled early Roman recipes and was a libation for the wealthy who could import the wine, fruit, sugar, and spices. Wassail recipes now vary according to each family. Traditionally drunk from a wassail bowl, this mulled punch is perfect for building memories around the holidays. HERE WE COME A-WASSAILING - A necessary component of any holiday gathering, our Wine Wassail Spices are easily brewed with your preferred red wine or port. Served warm or chilled, this autumn and Yuletide staple has evolved over centuries of celebrations. Whether toasting to your health, family, or the ones you hold most dear, our Wine Wassail Spices are meant to inspire good tidings and cheer. HOW TO BREW - For a Gallon Brew: Fill a pot with 1 gallon of red wine or port. Fill spice bag with ⅓ cup of wassail spices. Add spices and ½ cup sugar, and simmer at low heat for 1-2 hours.
