This tea is unique. I have been drinking Japanese green tea for about 20 years. I have only now discovered this ceremonial tea and it is not like any other I have tried. Many trips to Japan and I was never offered this quality. If you have ever had Matsuzaka beef ( only about $225 per pound) then you may have a sense of what this green tea fits in the levels of green teas.

The color of the Matcha is yellowish and doesn't taste good. Very expensive for what you get.

I took a leap of faith buying this even though it had only 3 reviews, but it was the most expensive ceremonial matcha available on Amazon, so I thought the price reflected its quality. I was wrong. I have been drinking ceremonial matcha for the past 3 years, tried many different top tier brands available on Amazon, and this one, by far, is the worst in quality. It is still drinkable, but has a strong seaweed smell to it. When i first opened it the powder was a decent green color, but by the next day it already started turning into a stale yellow green, even though I had kept it properly stored--right temperature and humidity, away from sunlight, etc. I would not recommend this matcha to friends and family. Absolutely not worth the price.

I truly enjoyed it, very good quality tea :)
