Worked on my 1967 Camaro with a sbc and had no leaks. Just make sure you have the right hoses, does not come with the o ring to flare insert to adapt the valve for a flared hose.The reservoir seems to be clocked a little bit to the passenger side compared to my original pump which was actually a good thing for my fitment.I had purchased a lower flow after market valve to help with the super light steering feel but didn’t use it because the valve that came with this pump seems to be the lower flow valve already.

If you are using this on a CHEVY front end then it should not be an issue BUT if you are using this on a hot rod that has a Mustang 2 front end DO consider that you MIGHT have to have a pressure reducer as the cheveys use around 1200 pro and the ford use about 800 psi. There is no info as to what the psi output is on this but do use caution. Spec sheet ( there isnt any) does not indicate anything about the gpm/ psi output and A- Team dpes NOT indicate anywhere in the specs or when i had a reply from them about psi rating nor gpm flow. Sooo you have to assume that is is the 1200 psi output and not the 800 that Ford uses. AGAIn use caution if you are a hot rodder and have a mustang rack & pinion and want to use this on your rod.

Chrome looks good, pump works great. Problem was, the metal connector for rubber hose faced the wrong direction, and after buying 2 of these, both times the screw that bolts it to the bracket, stripped out the threads in the reservoir over time while driving and fluid got everywhere. That one screw should Not go INTO the reservoir, and the metal should be stronger or at least more threads in that screw hole so that it doesn't strip out the hole so easily. I'd purchase again, but would modify before installing.

Does what it need to do

This pump is great the only thing you have to be careful is the nut that comes with it to lock the pulley is soft metal if you not careful you will strip it.

Parts was delivered on time and no issues with fitment.

The fit and finish is wonderful. But the pump doesn’t produce enough pressure at idle for my power steering system. I have to rev my car to 2000rpms for it to work. Even with a 4 5/8 pulley it doesn’t produce enough pressure.

Easy to install. Have not used it yet as it is mounted on a new engine and not finished yet.
