Good quality, great price! Punches above it's class.
I have quite a few jackets in my closet and I'm kind of a gear nut, but I wore through my last sturdy shell jacket and that I would give this one a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at how many features you got for the price. It is easy to spend $500 on a top rated shell these days, and this one will provide me far better value. The collar is nice and high to keep the wind out, I don't typically like a buff or scarf so I've found that to be a nice feature. The cuffs cinch tight to the wrist so you don't have to worry about water or snow running into the sleeves, especially while you're active. The over construction is good, and I have no worries about how it will hold up since the material is pretty sturdy as well.My one real critique of the jacket is that it runs a bit bigger than I was expecting. In my case I'm happy to use the extra room for layering during those extra chilly outings, but others might want to size down depending on your preference.

This jacket is great. After working in the outdoor industry for many years I have seen many very expensive options that do not fit as well as this jacket. The double cuff is a great way to ensure water stays out of the jacket. I most like the hood. This is the best hood that I have found that keeps the rain out of your faces and also stores in the collar of the jacket and you do not know its there. I will recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a quality rain jacket.

Chaaaching!
Great quality, especially for the price. It fits perfect, the cut and construction is excellent, along with the zippers and Velcro, Speaking of Velcro, the stuff used on this coat is very aggressive and suitable for a coat that is being used in harsh conditions. The collar is tall for neck and face protection in blowing spray or wind and the hood stows neatly inside and is designed so it will deploy and still allow the collar to stand. My only quibble is the lack of color options. Black/gray is not very visible in emergency conditions and not the best color for marine use.

Give it a shot, it surprised me
I was hesitant to buy this after seeing everyone always saying you had to buy a name brand rain suit. I wasn’t going to pay $250 per jacket and then another $250 on pants. For right around $200 I was able to get the jacket and matching pants. It’s pretty light weight and repels water like you wouldn’t believe from a jacket at this price point. Can’t say enough good things about trying this product and it surpassing my expectations.

quality piece of foul weather gear
I'm a Windrider WR17 owner. I initially ordered this jacket because I wanted a shell that carries the Windrider logo. Beyond that I really wasn't expecting much. What I got was a well thought out, well constructed, quality piece of foul weather gear. I own an expensive offshore Gore-Tex jacket from West Marine but the Windrider jacket blows it away in fit, breathability and features. The ample fleece-lined collar, adjustable hood and elastic cinch at the bottom of the jacket will keep out the wind and rain. It has a pair of large 7" x 8" pockets with Velcro closure flaps that include fleece lined slip-in slots to keep your hands warm. There are two zippered chest pockets and an interior zippered pocket for your wallet. The hood includes an adjustable Velcro tab on the crown and comes with a bill to keep water drips out of your eyes. All good stuff. This is a jacket I will gladly recommend to my friends.

Exceptional product and service
I spend lots of time outdoors, especially on and by the water, rafting, fishing and sailing and this is without a doubt the best rainsuit for the money that is available anywhere. I bought the jacket and bib overalls and simply love them. They have all the features that I expect: perfect fit, quality materials, velcro flaps, excellent zippers, piled pockets, etc. etc. Also I have dealt directly with WindRider and they totally stand behind their products and make things right. I could go on and on with kudos and accolades about this company and what they make but this is the real deal and I will continue to buy from WindRiver because they know how to make outstanding outdoor gear and provide top of the line follow up service.

Good jacket for the price.
My husband was looking for a water proof jacket with a bit of length. This fit the bill. He has not worn it in torrential rain yet however. The hood could be a bit more generous, and the jacket is a bit heavier than he expected, but seems well made. He would rather have a solid color jacket if it was available though, rather than the big silver colored area on the back. All in all, it is a good jacket and fit for purpose.

Best bad weather jacket.
My wife got this jacket and was raving about it. Last weekend we went for a walk in the rain. I was drenched....she completely dry. Came back and bought one of my own. Very well made and sharp looking jacket and so adjustable. I like that the cuffs Velcro both on the liner and the sleeve of the jacket. Big heavy duty zipper is completely closed in by Velcro. Hood can adjust and also can be packed away. Recommend this jacket,
