Will this turn the white chalk paint yellow?** A: When painting wood white with chalk paint, especially on bare wood or after sanding down original top coat, primer needs to be applied first. The natural tannins in the wood will come through causing the yellow color to come through once the paint is sealed with a top coat. **Q: Will this turn chalk painted furniture yellow? What do you use to apply it? I would like as flawless look.** A: It did not make my white chalk painted furniture turn yellow. I used a small sponge type roller and rolled on 2 coats.
