Will the real Charles Lester Edwards please stand up?
Who is Charles Lester Edwards?Nowhere in this account of Vespucci's voyages does he identify himself, still less does he provide us with his own reports or analysis of what actually happened on his voyages. This is no more than a verbatim in ancient English script undoubtedly translated at the time from the Spanish or perhaps Portuguese and written some 500+ years ago. There is difficult to follow with much duplication of those accounts throughout and often there is confusion about what exactly took place arising from conflicting reports from sailors and history writers. It is clear too from these accounts that doubt exists as to whether Vespucci actually made all of the voyages to the new world that he claimed to have made. Most disappointing.

Amerigo the Man!
The book was informative, yet to dry to capture the times or the depth of Amerigo the man for me.
