Lionel Thomas & Friends Electric O Gauge Bluetooth Train Set with Remote

This was a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. She loves the train. Great gift .

Bought this for my grandson and highly recommend. It works better than any toy train set I've seen. Easy for kids to put in the track and it stays on no matter how fast he runs it.

Great Thomas model train and a great first Lionel train set. The price was under $200 which was I why I bought it as Lionel products are not cheap especially the LionChief line. My son is 3, even though he is under the age for this toy, the remote control makes it easy for him to control Thomas. He loves the fact he can make it go slow and fast and make Thomas whistle and talk. The only issue I had is when the package arrived I found that the set was missing the power pack needed to make the train run. But Amazon had the link to contact Lionel directly. I called Lionel and after giving them the info of where and when I bought the set and model number they sent the power pack directly to me. That’s good customer service and support right there. I have an old Lionel set from the 80’s when Lionel products during that time was not very high quality. But this set has high quality even though it’s a starter set meant for young kids. The train runs perfectly with the accompaning remote. And it works as Lionel says it would using the Lionel LionChief app! The app is real good because it allows the user to set the volume on the individual features like the bell, speech and whistle. Or set the volume for all of it as one. I highly recommend this set for anyone who has children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews who like Thomas and/or model trains. Even adults can enjoy this set. Another feature that is great with Lionel is that as the child grows older the set can be expanded and use other Lionel O gauge trains with LionChief remote capability.

I set these up for my great grandsons and for me, too. Great fun with the boys. The remote eats batteries, so I got a battery replacement gadget - Lenink AC Power Supply Adapter for AAA Battery,Replace 3 AAA Battery,Black - which works great and saves a ton of batteries.

Superb build quality. Easy coupling. Easy to assemble even for my 7 year old. Good sound quality. Can be connected via Bluetooth by use of the Lionel App. Looks exactly like Thomas and received additional faces to cover Thomas's moods. Train is of medium size and is highly detailed. Run smoothly on the track with no interference or derailing. Electric operated Keeps a train savvy imaginative 7 year old busy and excited 😊

Worked the day we bought it. Ran it for 5 minutes to make sure it worked. Carefully repacked it and put it away to put under the Christmas tree. Doesn’t work at all. Very disappointed grandson. Do better Lionel.

4.5 stars! Grew up with Lionel trains under the tree at Christmas. Have 3 generation's trains and old accessories plus my own. This was purchased as a first set for my grandsons. The eldest loved it. A special memory to be passed down to the next generation. While not steel or cast like the antiques, extremely durable. I was not disappointed.

Very easy set to set up and run, but the younger kids (5 and under) might need some adult help snapping the track together and putting the cars on the track. Once set up, my 3yo loved using the hand held remote and is spending hours playing with it. Only downside (very slight) is that is speaker is of lower quality than most Lionel sets, but honestly I wouldn’t factor that into your purchase decision.
