I see Lots of reviews that say the holes are too big and the food dumps out with a nudge. Any plans to adjust the hole size?

Yes! That happens with the food we use. It’s too easy because it falls out too easily. I drilled appropriate sized holes in pill bottles for kibble and it works for this concept. Not as cute but works! Fat cats lost weight rolling the bottles to get the kibble to fall out, and enjoy playing with their food!

Any luck with older cats? (mine is currently 16 years old)

Yes! My 16 and 14 year old kitties love these.

How does this work with a dog in the house?

I imagine a dog might chew them up. I suggest you hide the filled mousies in one room and close the door with the kitty in the room. Then you could just pick them up after the cat has "hunted" them down. I have to separate my cats when they eat and put the younger cat in his own room to hunt for a while. The system works great.

How many of the mice looking things do you receive with this kit?

3 mice and a training "mouse" came in the kit that I ordered. Along with a measuring spoon.
