It works, but it isn't worth the price
I purchased this because I have two other bicycle pumps that are frustrating when attempting to fill Presta valves. I read reviews on numerous pumps and based on recommendations thought I would give this pump a try. This pump is very nice looking and appears to be well constructed, but it certainly isn't perfect and I'm not sure its worth the price it is selling for.On mine, if the pump handle is pulled too high up the piston hangs in the cylinder and some manipulation has to be done to get the pump to push down. The thread-on chuck works well once you get it attached, but getting it on the valve can at times become extremely frustrating. It also comes with a plastic chuck that slips over the valve, but it is of poor quality and broke the first time I used it.The pump will fill the tires up to at least 100 p.s.i., but it seems to have some difficulty in doing so. One of my cheaper pumps gets there easier. The gauge is easy to read and the hose is nice and long. The pump works. Its not worth the price. I probably would not recommend this pump.

No more leak air anymore
I've been looking for a presta bike pump that doesn't break my presta head and doesn't stop pumping air anymore. I've gone through 2 pumps with so called: "smart nozzle" that will take either presta or schreder. And believe me I hate those pumps. It works for couple of months and then suddenly it won't pump air anymore. You have to tinker it, then it works, then it won't pump air again. And along the way, I had broken two presta heads because I kept wiggling the pump head to make sure it bites my presta head. I was so annoyed since I kept ruining a perfectly working inner tube. Well, not until I got this pump. Leyze pump's head has screw that screws to your presta thread. And the best part, there's a little knob on the pump head to release the air once you got your tire inflated. So it easier to unscrew the pump head from presta thread. Some reviewer complaints about how it takes time to screw it and sometimes it needs to be tinkered. I don't find that problem at all. I guess for me, what's the difference between 2 seconds and 10 seconds to screw the pump to the presta head? It's nothing, especially with the benefit that the air always goes all the way to your tire every time and it never leaks air whatsoever. And not to mention, my presta head is saved every time I pump my bike tire. I also never need to tinker it either. Put the pump head straight to the presta head, then the screw it in. Work every time, flawlessly. No tinker and no wiggle. When you are done, just press the knob to release the air inside the pump head chambers, unscrew the pump head, and off you go.I've been using this pump almost 4 months, at least 3x a week. And so far, no leak air and no bend presta head. So, I'm a happy camper now :-). Definitely recommended unless you have a patience like a short fuse.

Recommended for Presta valves
I have a different pump that I have been using for Schrader valves (the most common valve type, like you find on car tires), but it didn't work very well when I got a new bike with Presta valves. Presta valves have a different tip on them that requires you to remove the plastic dust cap, then unscrew a metal tip. Because my first pump didn't work well with Presta valves, I needed to find one that did. I researched for a while and finally chose this Lezyne Classic Floor Pump.I really like this pump for the Presta valves. The end of the pump has a metal part that rotates independently of the pump's tubing - so to install it, you place it over the Presta valve, and while holding the tubing stationary, you screw the end metal piece down onto the threaded Presta valve. This guarantees a good airtight fit everytime. I have also found that it is best to let some air out of the tube before I put the pump on it to inflate it.The pump is made of steel and wood, so it should last a long time. Very impressive quality. The guage is easy to read. I pump my tires up to 95 psi, but the guage goes up to 160 psi. Pumping is pretty easy.I like this pump and would recommend it if you are pumping tires/tubes with Presta valves.

I'm in love with a bicycle pump
I never thought I'd say that I absolutely LOVE something as utilitarian as a bike pump, but then I bought the Lezyne Classic Floor Pump. My last pump, which wasn't cheap, finally broke. For the last several years I couldn't justify the expense to replace it. I'm so glad I read the reviews and spent the few extra bucks for the Lezyne. Now I know exactly how much air pressure is in my tires! I use presta valves on my road bike. Sounds silly, but the gauge on my old pump would jump up, slowly settle back towards zero, and I'd have to kind of guess when the pressure was in the right neighborhood. The Lezyne screws onto the valve (this wasn't really spelled out in the directions, but I figured it out easily enough), making a perfect seal. The first & subsequent pumps show a clear pressure reading that stays right where it should on the gauge. The air bleed button allows the pressure to be released from the hose before unscrewing to disengage, and there's no more worrying about bending or breaking presta valves when using a pump. What a terrific product! (My husband thought I was crazy when I had to show him the joys of this pump!) Seems very solidly built, so I expect it will last a long time. I'm sure it would be equally wonderful for shrader valves.
