ARAY technologyThe Clearway interconnect uses the same ARAY conductor geometry that was first used on the Chord C-line – with upgraded materials. The ARAY geometry conductors are heavier gauge oxygen free copper, insulation has been upgraded to FEP and the shielding is a dual-layer counter-wound heavy gauge foil design. The Clearway RCA is fitted with Chord direct silver-plated VEE 3 RCA plugs.More realistic soundThe improvements mean that the Clearway carries more musical detail. Dynamics are better, instruments and voices sound more realistic and there is better definition and clarity. The Clearway will let you see further into and get more involved with the music you listen to.Cut through to the finest sound, with the Chord Company Clearway.

Full bodied sound
The sound is similar to the others digital cable of same brand: its full and bodied. It can be good to be used in a dull Hi-Fi setup. Also I can hear the image slightly zoomed and not so deep. Vocals are a just a lil less transparent than what expected, but very clean and inteligible. Is sound very well, even if the cost is not so cheap

Worth While Upgrade
Much better than the standard cable that comes with most DACs. Extra clarity and a cleaner sound.

Sounds no different to my cheap toslink cable.
So I have had the Chord Clearway digital coaxial cables since Friday, and I am currently using them to play from my Bluesound Node X, to my Burston audio conductor 3x performance, playing to a ZMF Auteur, which is quite a good system, with the biggest limitation being the Node X. Currently, the Clearways are at around 30 hours of play, which is in the time frame when according to many audiophiles they are meant to start standing out, giving a wider soundstage and a more pleasant sound. The problem whilst the sound is superb, that has nothing to do with the cables, as I also have a very cheap toslink cable plugged in the Burston and the sound is pretty much exactly the same. I first compared the two cables, directly against each other after around 7 hours, and there was very little difference, and are several other checks, there is not real difference.I have now ordered a Mogami digital coaxial cable, which costs half as much, and will compare to see if there is any real difference.Currently though I must say I am a little dissappointed.

True HiFi at a reasonable price
This is a relatively inexpensive interconnect of high quality. You get what you pay for in the HiFi world.
