It works in deterring people from stealing your gas. Before I purchased this someone was syphining my gas regularly... I'd go to get in my car and there'd be a quarter to a half a tank of gas missing. Once I was nearly drained of every drop. Now that I have this locking gas cap when I get in my car I have the same amount of gas that I had the day before. Best car part I've ever purchased.

Great drop-in replacement for the original non-locking, entirely unprotected gas cap of my car, since the gas door is simply flip-open. Works perfectly, I recommend this to all 4th gen Camaro/Firebird owners!

This Lock once I fingered it out, seems 2 b good? There weren't ANY INSTRUCTIONS with it! So I had 2 engage more than my normal 10% of my brain power and go up2 about 18%! After some monkeying around with it, I hope I got it 2 work correctly? Due 2 my 2001 van having a 35gal gas tank and only getting 9mi/gal a)with this inflation crap more?? Teenagers or a bit older people, have been out in the neighborhoods siphoning gas when & where they can! Make sure there r lights around ur vehicles + a locking GASCAP! Cause US POOR Seniors are fighting now 4 every cent, so we r not being forced out in2 the street! Basically WE WORKED OUR BUTTS, BACKS, SHOULDERS, HIPS, KNEES, ANKLES, FEET & HANDS OFF IN MANY of OUR PROFESSIONS! NOW THANKS 2 THE HEIRARCHY of our country NOT LIKING #45 even though upon being voted out, this country b4 the Pandemic hit, was humming along, wonderfully! With 45 Seniors and folks with disabilities were not having 2 dig in2 their life's savings 2 beable 2 eat, pay bills, pay 4 fuel, pay 4 housing plus all kinds of insurance! So when our gas tank was like at 50% and the day b4 I filled up, b4 driving 3 miles home and I know that I do not have a tank leak that gas had 2 go someplace! Most on Amazon r under $15, I think I got this Stant 4 $8, right NOW, perhaps a lot,, of $$$, but as costly as fuel is $5+ and 2 fill up my 2001 Chevy Express "BIG BERTHA" hightop van. Comes with 2 keys 🔑 marked gas on them. Saving us money on stolen gas. Fits our 2003 Trailblazer.

Works as described but no place for a tether on this cap to secure it while filling.

I purchased this locking gas cap and there were no keys in the fricken box. Will I ever order from them again, not even if someone gave me the money.
