can hardly hear it at all!
Well this mute is very nice for practicing indoors, it reduces the sound to a faint whisper, the only problems ive noticed with it is that it has alot of air resistance making it hard to play and it almost doesnt help with practicing much due to the increased air resistance makes it easier to hit the notes but you wont have that in a performance so mainly you would be practicing technique and not actually playing the notes out for it requires a completely different embachure to play then without a mute in, but most practice mutes have this problem and out of those this is the best one ive found.

Too resistant to use effectively.
Not a very good practice mute. Much too resistant. Returning and purchasing the Shhhmute from New Zealand.

Uncomfortable
Way too much resistance - it doesn't feel natural at all. The back-pressure keeps trying to take my lips off the mouthpiece. I decided to return this one and try a Bremner Sshh mute instead - I'll update this review with the comparison once I receive it.UPDATE (2016-12-12): It's true, the Sshh mute is much better. Quiet, no noticeable back-pressure, good tuning -- what a trombone practice mute should be.
