Katadyn Water Filter's BeFree Tactical, Black, 1 L

Bought for a multi day camping/hiking trip in Exmoor and Dartmoor. Really simple to use, with a very quick flow rate of filtered water. Allowed us to save carrying extra water weight when we were near streams, but the 1L bottle also gave us an extra option to carry 1L of unfiltered water if we thought we might need it.

Good filter. Fast easy and portable and I officially didn't die or get the squits.

Received the item fast and easy.Goo quality but I had to send it back as I was mislead to believe that it was made in Switzerland but in reality it is made in China.I will not mind if it was at a Chinese price but I find it little bit cheeky to pay such a price for a item that it was so cheap made.I already own a Katadyn pocket filter but I was looking for a more compact lighter version.Highly recommend this brand but one must pay attention to the manufacturing country of some products when buying.The quality can be inferior to the original one and this is not a thing to mess around with... it’s your life on the game at the end!

Usually works well, I only use it for clear flowing water that I’ve collected up high on hikes and camping trips. I wouldn’t trust this (or most other water filters) for any more questionable water sources.There is often an issue with the flow rate through the filter, not sure what causes it.All in all lightweight, packable and good value.

Let's start with flavour yes it's made from plastic it will taste of it if you don't wash it then use lemon juice and water and freeze it.but at the end of a the day it keeps you hydrated on a long hike and that's all it's meant to do if you want spring water you carry it.cpl down sides the filter only last 1000l and there expensive to replace but unles your hiking every day and using all the time you should get a few years use out of it if you clean it regularly.the bottle is pretty robust so if you damage it I'd say take better care of your kit.

Great for long walks where you may need to access water, but no taps. Really works well.

Nice and easy to use water filter, great flow rate only thing that lets this product down is the price of the replacement filters.

Great if you walk in the hills and dales,no need to carry water just fill up in a running stream or brook.

Ça fait plusieurs années que je l’utilise pour mes rando, elle en a vue des vertes et des pas mûres. Mais elle est toujours là et elle filtre super bien. Juste faite gaffe en hiver. Un pote à moi a utiliser le filtre en hiver et depuis le débit est plus lent mais ça reste correct.On peux trouver facilement des filtres de rechanges mais y a une grosse autonomie donc vous allez pas le changer tout les 4 matins.Elle est hyper facile à ranger, elle pèse pas lourd et elle est très résistante. Vous en avez pour votre argent.
