Great For Fan DiPole
I constructed a 40/20/10m fan dipole using this and it works wonderfully for that. Very high quality and rugged.

Works - well built 1:1 BALUN
I have a 100 Watt HF transmitter with a 600 Watt linear. I am experimenting with different dipole wire antennas. This device might be a little pricey but it is built like a tank and is advertised to handle 1500 Watts. I have used it with a simple 20 meter dipole and am currently using it on a 30 meter wire dipole that works extremely well. I was able to get close to a 1:1 SWR without much work. With my 30 meter dipole I can cover a good portion of the US from Southern Cal with 10 Watts or less using JT65. The top ring is for mounting it and the two side rings are for connecting the wire from your antenna. The coax fitting is on the bottom. I have not had any problem with RF feeding back into my shack while using this. I am happy with this purchase.Ken - K6WGX

Works like it is supposed to!
I have used one of these baluns for about 2 years now and have had great performance out of it. I used it for a homebrew 40/20 fan dipole. Have worked many stations in europe, south america, asia and even australia. Seems well built and durable to withstand the KY weather.

Much Cheaper From Other Vendors
As advertised. It looks great and works great, but was up to $20 less expensive from other suppliers, but I needed next day delivery and Amazon was the only source capable of providing that.

High SWR on a 160m dipole
Tried this 1:1 balun on a 160 meter dipole. After installing it the SWR was 4 to 1. Decided to try another manufactures 1:1 balun and SWR went down to 1.5 to 1. Also something inside it rattles.

A few good signal reports in 10 and 11m.
I have it in the attic I have to move it for better performance. If u can use a ruler and solder this is for you. I have super antenna 18ga wire for each leg. Follow the included instructions and you won't be disappointed

Bottom RF connector not standard
Bought to make a half wave dipole for a PRC-150. The RF port on the bottom is super weird and I couldn’t find any cable or adapter that would connect with it. It has an extremely large hole for the center pin and is surrounded by insulation. I ended up breaking off the bottom and rewired it with a connector off of an OE cable. Looks Jerry rigged but it gets the job done.
