Nerf N-Strike Elite Rhino-Fire Blaster

We bought this for our son's 11th birthday. He loves Nerf guns and has wanted this one for a while. I was a little worried about how it would actually function, but it works exactly like it is supposed to. It is a very large Nerf gun so it's not one that is easy to run around and play with, but it comes with a little stand that works well to hold it up. He says that it is easy to shoot and load. It doesn't get as jammed up as I expected it to. I honestly thought that it would get backed up frequently because it shoots so many darts at a time. The only con that I have found is that it takes a lot of D batteries. It gets expensive if it gets used a lot and it makes the gun heavier. Overall, this was a great purchase for him. He loves it!

Takes only a few minutes to load and a few seconds to unleash all 50 rounds but works great and my kids look hilarious shooting each other and the dog with it. Also found that any of the N-Strike guns with 6, 10, 18 round clips fit on this gun too. Little faster and easier to load up. You don't HAVE to use the 25 round drums that come with it if you have those clips laying around.

It was awesome until it broke after three uses

This was a requested gift for my grandson. He was thrilled. I forgot to purchase batteries so my son and grandson made a trip to the store on Christmas Eve. He could not wait till after Christmas to start playing with it

I have a rather large collection of Nerf guns and I thought this one would be an excellent addition. But, to be honest, I was a little disappointed.As always, I'll start with the good.1) the gun looks awesome. Especially in the hand of kids, they look like they're in an old Predator movie.2) Good range and power on the shots.3) I have run several hundred rounds through it and have yet to get a jam in the gun.4) Comes with 2 x 25 Shot round clips that use standard Elite darts and can be use on any clip gun.And now onto the bad. before I get into it, I want to say that I have never been a fan of any Nerf gun that needs batteries. I have made some exceptions recently for the Demolisher 2 in 1 and the Elite Stockade Blaster which are both solid guns even with the batteries. But, I try to avoid anything Nerf makes that needs C or D batteries. So with that said.1) The gun is bulky and difficult to reload without setting it down.2) the accuracy is pretty low. I shot 25 rounds at my a stationary, human target 15' away and hit it only 8 times.3) The fire rate is also clunky. It seems like an anemic pump, slowly spitting out badly aimed darts.4) The need to buy D batteries is automatically a minus. Who uses D batteries anymore?5) The cost is crazy. I gave another reviewer a hard time when they complained about this. but, the price point is really high for what is not going to be your favorite gun.All in all, this gun will look cool sitting on top of my Nerf Table while we play with other guns.

No more battery operated Nerf guns in my house. Just like all the ones before, this gun was a HUGE disappointment. One of the barrels never fired. The batteries had to be changed after about 2 rounds being fired from the 1 barrel. When the batteries were dying (very quickly) it sounded like a sad kitten. I do not recommend this to anyone.
