Great board
Took a while to get the SSD set up as a boot (ACHI is the key) but this happened on my MSI board, too. The board is pretty solid and the heatsinks are lower profile which translates to better CPU cooler compatibility. Just keep in mind that those RAM slots are still close and will need to be low profile sticks for anything bigger than a CM Hyper 212. My main gripe is that the main case fan port is jammed in next to the SATA ports. It woulda been nice if it were closer to the exhaust, but that is a small issue for an otherwise good experience. The only other thing that seemed below par was that the manual had absolutely nothing about the BIOS navigation and settings.

Overclockers beware! **NEVERMIND - READ EDIT**
For a processor that can’t be overclocked, this is a great motherboard. One thing they don’t mention (as another reviewer mentioned, too bad I didn’t see that before purchasing) is the long duration power is capped at 130w. So if you plan on using a processor with a power requirement under that, great. If you plan to overclock, you won’t even be able to max out a 9600k without it getting throttled. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to bypass it. I have a ticket in with Asrock to see if there’s a work around, or if they did this intentionally to make people not only buy the cheaper board, but then buy a more expensive board after they find out.**EDIT**I originally rated this at 3 Stars because of the Power Duration cap. I contacted ASRock Support, they actually were very helpful. ASRock did provide a solution with a warning, which I will quote below. After testing out their suggestion to fix it, I was able to resolve the max power issue. Temperature is not a big issue for me as I'm water cooled, but if you're air cooled, I would keep a very close eye on temps if you bump these numbers."Because the motherboard is ITX form factor, so the PL1 and PL2 maximum power are limited for better system stability. If the user would like to adjust wider range values of long/Short duration power limit, you can adjust the values in Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.Link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29183/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-Please also check your cooler is strong enough to cooling down the CPU after adjusting PL1 and PL2."

A cute little board for proxmox/sophos
I wanted to make a DIY firewall with Sophos XG and needed a board with two Intel NICs. Sadly, Sophos really doesn't like Intels I219 NIC chip. It would pick up the I211AT just fine though. To work around it until some other parts arrived, I ended up loading ProxMox and then Sophos on top of that as a VM. Bam! two NICs that Sophos XG can work with. That was several months ago. The board has been running rock solid with clocked up 2666Mhz RAM and an i3-8100.I'm definitely using this board in an edge/niche scenario, but it's been a reliable board from day one.

Works with 9th gen Intel CPUs
Worked out of the box with an i9-9900k. No BIOS flashing required.I bought this board so I could forgo having a dedicated GPU. Unfortunately the right HDMI port (the one not underneath the DisplayPort) is flaky. If I move the HDMI cable at all, the screen will flicker or go blank for a moment. The issue is specific to this port (it is not a cable or monitor problem). The build was a pain to put together - so I am reluctant to RMA it.lspci says:00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Device 3e30 (rev 0a)00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v5/E3-1500 v5/6th Gen Core Processor PCIe Controller (x16) (rev 0a)00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 3e9800:12.0 Signal processing controller: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH Thermal Controller (rev 10)00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH USB 3.1 xHCI Host Controller (rev 10)00:14.2 RAM memory: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH Shared SRAM (rev 10)00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH HECI Controller (rev 10)00:17.0 SATA controller: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH SATA AHCI Controller (rev 10)00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Device a33d (rev f0)00:1c.6 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Device a33e (rev f0)00:1d.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH PCI Express Root Port 9 (rev f0)00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation Device a305 (rev 10)00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH cAVS (rev 10)00:1f.4 SMBus: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH SMBus Controller (rev 10)00:1f.5 Serial bus controller [0c80]: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH SPI Controller (rev 10)00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V (rev 10)02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03)03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168NGW [Stone Peak] (rev 10)

Easy to instal and bios very recognizable when installing windows.
Motherboard made with good material and works perfect. Very easy to install windows. What I like the most, it is over clocking. I have Intel Core i5-9600K Processor 3.7 GHz and it is Easily over clocks to 4.5 GHz. Also it has 6 ports for Hard Drives and i found that it is the only one mini motherboard that has it, others have just 4. It is working fast. I would definitely recommend it, for these reasons that I was talking about.

ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac
The ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac would deserve a 5-star rating except for the first motherboard that had a dead memory channel and sent it back. This quality failure is the reason for me avoiding ASRock boards in the past. My son talked me into this purchase and I'm otherwise happy with it. I don't purchase "K" versions of CPU's and therefore don't usually purchase "Z-boards", but this one hit's the price-point and I'm satisfied with its performance even though I don't exploit all of its features.

Good NAS Board
Used this board to build a 6 HDD NAS which has been working well so far. Confirmed that a SATA port is not disabled when using an NVME drive as the boot drive in the M.2 slot.
