Great heavy duty Square stone!
This is a great stone as it is square, so a pizza actually fit on it. Some of the rectangular stones are too narrow. This is a heavy stone so it takes and extra 10 minutes to heat up, which is no big deal, but you have to plan on that. Being much thicker, it should not crack as 2 thinner stones have done. This is expensive, but will last many years.

Excellent pizza stone!
I'm really happy that I chose this stone. I spent a lot of time shopping around and researching stones. California Pizza Stones seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for. I was hesitant to order at first because I've never used a ceramic stone before, I wasn't sure if the sizes would be exactly as listed, and because of the higher price, but it's exactly what I ordered and totally worth it. Unlike some of those cordierite stones, there's no smell. It cooks my pizzas in about 15 minutes when properly preheated. It's a bit heavy, and I'm concerned about scratching the seemingly delicate surfaces on the oven grates which is why I try to leave it in the oven when I'm not using it. Overall, I love this stone, and I would recommend California Pizza Stones if you're in the market for a new stone.

Heat Distribution is horrible
We heated the stone up for like 20 minutes before we put the pizza on and the bottom of the pizza would never cook. Had to return and then they charged me a restocking fee for something as far as I am concerned did not work properly

Crack in pizza stone
Nice, heavy pizza stone, but after it's very first use, a small crack appeared.

Great pizza stone
The thickness of this stone makes a huge difference in the amount of heat it retains. I do pizzas on the gas grill and get the stone up to 750 degrees and get a world-class pizza in 2 minutes. We also use it in the oven for baking sourdough. It looks to be indestructible.

Amazing stone for baking bread
This hefty (yes this thing is heavy) stone replaced a thin, big box pizza stone I was using to bake Artisan bread loaves. Retains heat very long and helps regulate the oven quite well. The cycling of the oven is much less. I definitely recommend this stone for bread baking, however the preheat time needs to be at least double in order to heat up this stone. Mine arrived intact in a well packaged box. Do youself a favor and get one of these 1" thick stones for even better bread and pizza crusts. Mine also cane true to stated size.

Totally true to description
Great..great...great! Thick and sturdy. Size is exact. It is very heavy but I expected this. There is no way this will crack under high heat. I use cornmeal under my dough and nothing sticks
