We needed this for an active teen that had an elbow injury. We got a Med for a 16y/o teen. It worked out well.

Used this arm sleeve to play basketball at the gym, and it fit well. Protected my elbow when I fell and was snug. Great product and would recommend. Only problem is the tag was a little irritating.

This goes on like a long glove, over the hand and up the arm. The material that sits on the outside of the elbow helps to protect from bumping it against something but it wont help very much if the elbow hits the ground first during a fall. That would need a much thicker elbow pad. But when working outside or for lights sports, this is good. The last thing someone with a tender or painful elbow needs is to hit it or jam it up against something and this helps to prevent that.

I have what I guess you would call an exposed ulnar nerve? If I lean on my elbow or even just have it press against something wrong, half my hand goes numb. I've been looking for something to where to protect the nerve and quit having my hand numb. this seems to work pretty well. If I place it right, the waffle like padding doesn't hit the nerve but allows any pressure to dissapate around it. So it works for what I need.I am not sure how much protection it would give against falling on your elbow. But then, anything heavier might not be as mobile - i.e. you wouldn't be able to move the joint. This allows movement.
