Book Page Holder and Bookmark, Medium, colors may vary (TPG-TT2)

I've only used the Thumb Thing Page Holder and Bookmark one time so far, but the seller is anxious for reviews. It's difficult for me to hold a hardback book open, as I don't have a lot of strength in my hands. I thought this would help with that, as well as helping me visually track each line. The picture doesn't show a clear option, but that's what I received. Any of the brighter colors would have worked better for me, in terms of something visual to follow. I suppose for some people, the clear might be preferable because it might not be distracting for them. It does hold the book open, which is very helpful. It's a little awkward to use, but I'm sure as I use it more I'll get more used to it. Most of the time I read on a Kindle as it's much easier for me to hold and to control the size, space between lines, etc., but for reading an actual book, I think this will be helpful to most people who are trying to keep the book open. I think many people would give this a higher rating, because it will probably suit their purpose better. For me, it's four stars, because it works, but not as well as I'd hoped.

had i known it was only one i would have bought from somewhere else as there are several other options for packs of 3, 4, or 5 for around the same price. kinda feel ripped off but i guess thats what i get for not reading the description or reviews well enough

Somehow I ended up getting a pack of 3 size Large. I can totally work with this, even though they’re too big. I would give it 5 stars, just for their generosity, but...considering the fact that it isn’t as described i’m giving them 4. Will I keep them and try to use them? Absolutely. It’s a great concept and I’m looking forward to trying it out.

I would have preferred the thing to fit closer to the base of the thumb, just for me to be able to exert more force in order to wedge the pages apart. For average adult sized hands though it gets snug just below the thumbnail. The plastic on the wings could've been thicker as well, as it kind of digs into the thumb, taking attention away from the reading experience.Maybe they could make one out of silicone in the future...that's a lot more bearable when exerting pressure on the thumb.

I made the mistake of thinking that I'd be receiving 4 for the price, but I only received 1.

As noted by others, the sizes run small. My hands are quite small, I ordered a medium and it was just the right size. The small must be for children.I was optimistic about this product. It is pretty much exactly what it looks like in the picture. That said, I found actually using it when it arrived a bit awkward and quickly reverted to just holding books the usual way. For it to work, you have to keep your thumb right in the center of a book, which turns out to be a bit unnatural. Try it yourself before buying this and see - that should give you a sense of whether you'd use this.On balance, having tried it, I'd give it a pass. Mine is sitting unused now.

Was a gift or my mom who suffers from arthritis and has a hard time holding her book open for long periods. She loves it and can now read without pain! She also said it helps the grandkids hold open their own books at story time without damaging the pages as much. Thank you!!
