Royal DoultonTaupe Stripe 16 Piece Set, 36.23

These are very attractive. I replaced 35 year old Phaltzcraft with this set. Found out too late that the material conducts heat with exceptional efficiency. Lesson 1 - handed my husband his coffee and the cup was too hot to hold except by the handle. Our dollar store mugs perform better, holding the heat in without getting hot. Coffee was freshly brewed. Lesson 2 - I microwaved soup in one of the bowls for one minute, stirred it, and then for another minute. Required a pot holder to remove the plate from the microwave. very disappointed that other reviews stated that these dishes did not get hot in the microwave and that I've discarded the boxes so I'm stuck with them. but you aren't! keep looking..

I am 72 years old and I can not believe that I waited this love to have such a beautiful set of dinnerware. I got them for every day use and there is nothing that I do not love about them. The color of the pinstripe is truly taupe. It is a very soft - off gray with a touch of tan/greenish.....whatever it takes to make taupe. Then the body is an off white/ultra light creamish color. Goes perfectly with my Crate&Barrell "Graeden" serving bowls that I bought years ago. The ED Royal Dalton bowls are not too big. I enjoy their larger size to use for salads if you choose, pasta bowls, soups/stews.... Same goes for the larger plates and cups... you don't have to fill them up if you don't want to and they fit perfectly in my 11&1/2 inch deep cupboards. This is a SUPER CLASSY set. Thank you very much for making them for me. I was so happy when I liked them more in person than I did on the website. Soooo pretty and great quality. Don't hesitate..... go for it. (In my opinion and I am very picky.)

These are absolutely gorgeous! They fit perfectly with my french rustic decor and dinning table. The quality is excellent and it arrived well packaged. I didn't receive any damaged pieces. I ordered two at the same time, but they arrived on different days, so that was a bit odd and annoying. Otherwise, this set is solid!

Finally moved into the house and unpacked the dishes. First time reheating leftovers in the microwave and the dish CRACKED during the process!!! Scared me like crazy!! Now I’m rethinking the quality of two sets of dishes that I bought. Never had that experience before with this microwave in this house.

The cream color with the stripe accent gives this set subtle style. The dish weight and feel is just right- sturdy but not heavy.

This dinnerware is nicer than the pictures show. They are well made and very nice looking. I would recommend them anytime 😁

I love it so much

I took ages choosing which service to buy. I'm glad I got this one. Its better than in the pictures. Has 'love's written on the outside rim of the plates. Wash well. Durable. Can be used every day or for best. The mugs are great. When microwaved the handle stays cool although it can be misleading so be careful when putting mouth to rim, but if it's been in the microwave there is an expectation of heat. So its great the handle stays cool. I cant fault this. Highly recommend

These plates are so lovely, well made and looks really resistant. If you are looking for your new everyday table set you should go ahead if you like the style ! A lovely surprise when I received them is that there is “love” written in very small on the side of each plate which you only see when you look on the side
