I recently acquired a fire pit cover and I must say, it has proven to be a valuable addition to my outdoor setup. So far, the real winter weather not yet being here, it’s done a good job. Excellent fit enhanced with the ties, and waterproof. Hopefully it will perform through the worst the winter has to offer.

Unlike my last cover this is a step up where the material is a woven fabric. The fit is snug and so far has been durable against wind and rain. The tie cord is also good quality and pulls up with no resistance. To enhance the waterproofing, I did add remnants of my camping spray to help make it last longer outside all year.

Works really well. You'll need to pull the belt tighter around the widest part of your chiminea to ensure it stays in bad weather but overall it's doing well after a rather windy, rainy winter here in the north of the UK.

After my last cover disintegrated after 9 months of use, I purchased this cheaper alternative for the upcoming winter. The material seems really strong and the cover is nicely shaped to fit the “dome”, which makes me happy since water tends to collect in “folds” of furniture cover and you end up with little algae covered mini pools ready to spill on your feet the moment you attempt to take the cover off! I also like the strap that goes around the whole cover to make it extra secure in the wind. It has a drawstring at the bottom to tighten it around your fire pit, mine was low enough so I had about 6 inches of spare fabric to fold it and fasten underneath. My only niggle was that the string was quite difficult to pull as the fabric is heavy duty (it didn’t tear despite me pulling the string with some force) and therefore difficult to “scrunch up”, but I got there eventually and it fitted really nicely. The cover doesn’t flap even in the very strong winds we have today. So far I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
