This did the job for what I primarily wanted it for which was marking circuit breaker numbers and names on my home electrical breaker panel. I was a little hesitant because I planned to use a permanent marker for a use where I didn't want any changes. The surface is glossy for its intended purpose, but the permanent marker worked out fairly well. The magnetic strength is a tad weak, but more than suitable, especially for its intended use. Would have chosen a mat finish for this project if available, but very satisfied anyway. The side benefit for me is that I have plenty left over to use for future 'erase' or 'permanernt' use. Very good quality overall!

I'm sure these are fine in environments where they are viewed from a distance and no one comes near enough to disturb the surrounding air space. Seriously though, it will stick to metal, weakly, but will fall off with any movement, such as opening a refrigerator door. Very disappointing, particularly given the misleading reviews and vendor claims of "strong magnetic backing" and the like.

It works, but barely. Weak Manet and imperfect writing surface. Magnet works ok if you have a perfect large flat metal surface, but may not it’s going to the work on a thick painted or uneven surface. The writing surface sometimes leaves skips and bubbles even with brand new super wet pen. I’m starting to think I should return it, not sure I want to move forward with my project.

1st roll purchased (several months ago) was perfect, 2nd roll would not accept being written on. See pictures! Tried a bunch of different markers, tried cleaning the tape, drying, etc. and it just kept happening. Super annoying but Amazon was very helpful and sent me a replacement roll so we'll see how that one does once received.Received 3nd roll, no good. With wet erase markers the ink just disappears, with dry erase markers the ink spreads and expands. Clearly some kind of film on these recently manufactured ones. Don't purchase until resolved.

I bought this dry erase magnet roll to use on a cruise instead of taking sticky notes. A 9 inch piece worked great for leaving messages on the door for the attendant and other people I was cruising with. One piece on the door outside and one inside. You can buy dry erase markers with magnets to use with it. The magnet strength was fine on both sides of the door... they never moved all week. The erase section wipes clean easily like any other dry erase board. I highly recommend for your next cruise!

I cut into sections for our rotating draft beers. We are constantly changing them out. They stay on the board perfectly, wipe off clean, and look great. Our board is designed to be seen throughout the restaurant, and this is perfect!

I needed something to use on a magnetic white board (easel) and this absolutely did the trick. Only magnetic roll I could find that was 2" wide. Perfect.

My office has a glass white board, mounted with metal backing allowing for magnets to be used. We have several magnetic "pins" on the white board to post notes, flyers etc. The Dry Erase Magnetic Roll does not stick to this particular white board, at all. Total bummer as this was what the item was purchased for.
