I have only used this once, So I can't comment on if it helps with thinning hair (although I see that the package says due to breakage, whereas I have problems with alopecia). However, it contains caffeine, which is supposed to be for hair loss. I will also say, not alot of hair came off on my hands when applying this, so that's a good sign. But let me tell you about my hair otherwise. It's fine and soft. It just LOOKS at a bottle of any conditioner and instantly becomes limp and greasy. No wash lasts more than maybe 12 hours without getting greasy and flat. Because of this, I rarely use conditioner. However, because of my hair loss shampoo, my hair had been feeling straw like specifically at the roots, immediately after washing, so I wanted a deep conditioner. I figured one time wouldn't be bad, just to reset. I wash my hair at night, so if I woke up as a greaseball, I would just wash in the morning. I used the ENTIRE pack on my shoulder length hair (tip to root, since my root was straw like. I even massaged it into my scalp), and put the cap on while I shaved my legs, then rinsed. I forgot to rinse in cold and just did my normal warm temp. Hair did not feel straw like after the shower. Well. I did not wake up as a greaseball. My hair looked GREAT. Soft, but not slippery. Not even a whisper of grease. And!!! It actually had some volume at the top! It was a little harder to brush than I expected, considering I had a head full of conditioner. But even the next day, I still do not look like a greaseball, which is unheard of for my head. I am so impressed with this! If you are looking for that silky, shiny effect after a deep conditioner, this is not for you. But, if you need a reset for your dry-after-showering, usually greasy hair, I HIGHLY recommend this.

Softness and much needed moisture.

Only problem is I get breakouts on my neck when I use it. Great for hair and scalp though. I have to protect my neck when using it. I will finish it, but will not repurchase.

Great conditioning treatment

I was leery using this product. The product rinsed out easily and my hair didn't feel slick like with other conditioning products. But it makes my scalp feel squeaky clean, my hair is fluffy and feels healthy. I can go 3 days between washings and when I wake up may hair doesn't look fried. I agree with another reviewer that most products make my thin hair look like a grease bomb by the end of the day and this doesn't do that. Wish I would have tried it sooner as the shampoo tends to be a bit drying.

It is an excellent for my hair. my hair is extremely fine and breaks easily. Illness for a while has helped cause this. After using Pura D'OR for several weeks I can see and feel a difference. Much softer - feels thicker -- it will take time I think but I am willing to try. I recently ordered the shampoo that goes with it. IT was the shipping that came in a paper bag -- the box with the individual packets was tossed around and everything out of the box. Luckily it did not break open. It needs stuff or put in a box that doesn't allow to be banged around!
