It was everything it said it was but better when you see it in person and try it on. The fit and craftsmanship is worth the price.

A couple of other reviewers have commented on the zipper and that is where I will begin this review. This made in China jacket has the zipper located on the left of the jacket, not the right, which is traditional for men’s jackets in the USA. Also, the zipper does not work smoothly, but catches from time to time. I can get used to having the zipper on the wrong side of the jacket, but the snagging of the zipper is a problem.Large with this jacket means large. I am 5’10” tall and weigh 180 pounds and this jacket is a bit too large for me which is unusual. Usually size large jackets from China run on the small side. Not this time out. The jacket is made of 100% Polyester and can be washed in the washing machine. The sleeves are a bit long for me but the knit rib cuff helps to keep the sleeves from going on to my hands. This jacket has two pockets with snap closures and a zippered pocket on the left sleeve. The collar of the jacket is ribbed and it is comfortable to wear, as is the jacket in general.Bottom line: This well-made and comfortable jacket size large was extra large. Readers should be aware of the fact that they may need a size smaller than they normally take. Also, the zipper is on backwards, at least for me, and does not function smoothly. Recommended with these noted reservations.

The Men's Active Military Band Collar Full-Zip Softshell Lightweight Bomber Jacket is great for the slightly chilly weather we experience during winters here in South Florida. It wouldn't recommend it for temperatures below 50˚F though. The Large fits my 6' 195lb. frame well, but it is somewhat slim. There is a bit of stretch though, so no big deal. It looks purposeful and and is very comfortable with it's soft lining. The somewhat slick outer shell helps wind and rain, but I don't know how well it would hold up in a downpour.I like how I look in it, the feel, and the level of protection it provides. Trimthreads clothing is usually pretty good in those departments. The stitching is mostly tight and it feel solid, built to last. Where it falls a touch short is in the details. The zippers function, but stick so you may need to lubricate them. The zippers on the arms aren't pockets, they're just for show. The side pockets have a snap flap and angle down. This may help keep content in them and protected, but it makes access a little challenging. Lastly, there is an interior pocket, but it isn't large enough to fit more than a minimalist wallet or tiny phone. My iPhone 6 is too big.For the price, this is a decently functioning, flattering jacket for where I live. Be aware of it's limitations and you won't be disappointed.~ Kort

I have a small collection of bomber jackets, all in navy blue. I had been dearly wanting a black one, as most my outfits mainly consist of blacks, reds, and other dark shades, most of which make it difficult to assemble a completely black outfit. I want my accessories to be accessories and not permanently a statement piece. Of course with my minor jacket obsession, that can be hard to avoid. This black bomber was quite seriously my knight in dark armor. It is thin, lightweight, easy to clean material, with real pockets that have plenty of space. The zipper is a tad rough to tug up and down but that’s easily ignoreable when you look so dashing. I was a little sad that unlike many wonderful bomber jackets, there were no hidden or inside pockets. Again, easily ignoreable but part of the appeal is the insane amount of pockets to hoard everything in and laugh at everyone still carting their goods in flimsy backpacks. I look forward to applying some patches and making this my.... Number one!

There is nothing really outstanding about this lightweight jacket. Having said that, there's nothing really wrong with it either. It's nylon inside and out. No soft lining so it's a bit noisy. It repels water and has pretty good protection from the wind. The knitted collar, sleeve cuffs and bottom make it more comfortable. Zippered pocket on the left sleeve give a signature bomber jacket style. Button down snap pockets on the right and left are a little shallow but work.I was only going to give it 3 stars but added one because it looks to be well made with even stitching and heavy metal front zipper.

Fit is a little athletic but it has some stretch so no big deal. It’s nothing more than a windbreaker in terms of weight and material. It would mostly be a middling jacket 3.5 star range. The big deal breakers for me are the weird blue color tint and the zipper being on the wrong side. Like a women’s jacker. (Or some overseas jackets.) still this is an iconic American style jacket. Get the zipper and color right! Has some loose threads here and there. Has side zip sleeve with pen slot. Zippers are rough and stick a bit. I included a couple pictures with an actual olive drab green and some multicam.

The big drawback for me is the small zipper for the size of the jacket. Getting it connected and started was a challenge for me; unsure of the durability.Disappointed.
