It's 10 days until Hanukkah and I needed chocolate gelt so despite the bad experience of other reviewers, I took a chance and ordered 4 boxes of these chocolate coins. I could not find any other brand that was both kosher and nut free. Upon arrival, I opened one from each of the boxes. The candy appeared fresh (no white-ish overbloom or freezer burn) and tasted great. Smooth, mild, milk chocolate flavor. Is the chocolate as good as See's candy (my fave)? No. Do I wish there were more than 4 coins? Sure. Did the kids at our event love them? Absolutely! I plan to order a couple more boxes. Jerusalem of Gold coins (made in Holland) and Amazon hit it out of the park on this one IMHO.

I got the exact product as pictured. And it's honestly the best gelt I've ever had!! The chocolate is of good quality, the gold foil wrapping is beautiful and perfect for playing the dreidel game, which is exactly our plans for it! The price is just as good if not actually BETTER than the prices for chocolate coins that I've seen at places like Walmart or a regular grocery store, and as I mentioned earlier, they DEFINITELY taste better. It was well worth the research to find these on Amazon.

I loved the pricing of this product - it's very fair! I found the taste of the chocolate to be edible. Not great, but I don't think that most kids will mind that it isn't high quality, gourmet chocolate. What's important is that it gets the job done if you're looking for some gelt at good price and pre-packaged portions. It's nice that it's free of many allergens! I looked at many different similar products before choosing. I liked that this one comes in pre-packaged little sets. That is perfect for use as a party favor, or if you wanted to sell it, it seems ready to do that too because the package it comes in works as a nice display.

After years of buying little sacks of gold coins as little Hanukkah gifts for the kids of some friends, I’ve usually been disappointed at the quality. They’ve been waxy, tasteless, and some have been inedible. I bought a box these coins and and all I can say is WOW! These are real milk chocolate! They are fresh and have a really nice chocolate flavor. They melt on my tongue as good chocolate should and they are delicious. These are perfect to give away to the kids (and adults) for Hannukah.

The favor was terrible, it took a long time to get delivered to my house and on top of everything the box was expired and they didn’t allow me to return the item.

Nicely packaged and my son loved the taste. Some of the chocolates were kind of white looking like it was in a hot environment then cooled.

We buy these every year and they never disappoint. Safe for those with nut-allergies so we can share them and perfect for attaching to gifts. The gold wrapping is shiny and the chocolates are tasty!
