Gallon Jar, 2PK

I have not used these jars yet but I was very happy to see, when I unpacked them, that the glass is sturdy and the lids fit well. The packaging was very secure and they arrived in perfect condition. I bought them for making large quantities of tea, and chose them because the description said specifically that you can pour boiling water into them. Just from the feel of the weight of the glass, I think they are going to work fine.

Perfect for any ferment. The plastic lids are nice, and won’t cause the coppery/metallic taste to form in your food. Great size, but maybe just a little big for my purposes. I’m probably going to buy some 1/2 gallons next.

Very pleased to find these jars! They are manufactured by the same glass company that made the jars I purchased years ago as part of an overpriced vegetable fermentation kit. My existing lids, airlocks, and weights fit these jars, and these jars easily fit into the refrigerator. I know from experience the jars are sturdy and easy to clean. The gallon size is great for fermenting and/or storing sauerkraut. Recommended.The jars arrived double-boxed with corrugated cardboard dividers and therefore were in perfect condition.

These are great. I actually wish the screw on lid was a little bit sturdier but I really like that it showed up with the fabric and rubber bands. I’ve been successful at brewing kombucha for a few weeks now. Thank you

These jars come with a plastic lid. They also come with cloth covers and rubber bands, but don’t use the cloths right out of the box. They are absolute lint shedders. They leave a massive amount of lint everywhere! You don’t want any of that in whatever you’re brewing or fermenting. I haven’t washed mine yet but I’m hoping they’ll be lint-free after washing because it was nice to have them included, along with the lid.

My daughter made Concord grape wine with our grapes and she needed containers to store the wine in for it to sit and age. These work great! I was afraid they would be thin glass but they aren't. They are sturdy.

These are just what I needed. Nice touch coming with the cloth and rubber bands along with screw top lid. Making vegetable ferment in one and pineapple tepache in the other. Would order more if I have the storage space to keep more!

Used the jars to make some aperitifs. They even came with a cheese cloth and rubber band. Very nice touch. I bought some cheesecloth for my processes but wouldn't have needed to if these came first!Also, family owned business so great to support. Thanks All!
