Is this a good option for a big guitar such as a Martin HD28V? I am under the impression that this is for smaller guitars.

Probably a dated question but here’s another $.02. I have a Pure Mini in a Martin HD-35 and it sounds great. For those worried about bass dropout, it’s great in the 35 which is bass heavier (when desired) due to the lighter, forward-shifted bracing. The transducers pick up the additional bass well.

How do you install this?

It is installed by applying superglue to the pick ups and gluein them to the bridge plate inside the guitar. It comes with a set up jig and some putty to make sure everything is aligned properly. An average do it yourselfer should be able to accomplish this project, but a luthier would probably do it for around $50. They do sound great by the way in my custom 28.

I removed a k&k, one of the super glued heads was ruined. can i get good response with 2 heads only? maybe on a small guitar of uke?

I believe you can get replacement heads from K&K.

Does the mini pick up body percussion

Yes, it does pickup some body movement on the body but for me it's minimal and the quality of the pickup out weighs this.

Fitted to Ashbury AT-24 Tenor Guitar
