Great cardio
I've been using this for almost 2 months and have lost more than ten kilos in that time, though I have also made major changes to my diet. You can set fitness goals for cardio, strength building, targetting certain areas, and a time window for your daily exercise, from ten minutes to forty minutes, though it is possible for a set of exercises to overrun this target by about five minutes or so.Movement detection is good, though it may not feel great at first. The more accurate your movements are, the better it works, I promise. You can work up a sweat, so some gloves to protect your JoyCons and a towel are recommended. The music is genericised instrumental covers, so if you're worried about the track list, don't be, all they provide is tempo.Coming back to increase your streak, having your trainer encourage you, unlocking gear to customise your trainer, and seeing how much you numbers improve over time in the graphs is a great motivator, at least for me. With a free update, you can take screenshots, so you can grab pics of your results screens and share them.Obviously training with this isn't a substitute for heavy bag training or sparring, but for coordination, cardio, and just ease of use, it's a solid tool for the price

A fun way to exercise
I've been trying to lose weight for a while and my favourite exercise is boxing so I was thrilled to see this out for Switch. The game itself is good, there are tutorials to show you the different punches and what the logo will be for them in game which you can access at any point. The game provides a daily workout (generated by the game) as well as free workout (you select song and routine) and keeps track of estimated calorie burn. It does require you to enter height and weight but then I'd expect it from a fitness game. Song selection isn't too bad, initially you only have access to a couple but as you complete more workouts you unlock the others. The only draw back for me is the annoying voice and corners the 'instructor' makes but you can reduce the volume of the instructor. Overall a worthwhile purchase if you are looking for a fun way to workout, I did 20 minutes and hadn't even noticed.

Girl (or Boy) I'm gonna make you sweat, sweat till you can't sweat no more...
I'm generally a healthy gamer as it is, counting my calories etc on most days. However I do enjoy a hearty meal, and I do enjoy eating carbs and the sort of things that the gym-obsessed would consider "cheat day" junk.I used to love Wii Fit and Dance mat games in the past, so I was all for a game like this to come to Switch. After close to 100 hours invested this year. I can honestly say it's a great asset to have if you prefer to work out at home instead of going to gyms etc.On a good week, I try to play this at least 3 times a week, for about 30-40 minutes a time. There is never not a time I don't stop playing having worked up a sweat. The first few weeks of playing will have you aching in places you didn't know could ache too (but in a "you're doing a great job" kind of way).I could feel my general balance/ core strength was improved after a week or so, and my arms and shoulders were improved too. All in all this does a LOT more for your body per session than Wii Fit would in a time comparison. The music choices can be cheesy, but it's easy to keep shuffling the choices or alienate anything you hate in the options. It's really all background noise when you're in the zone though, so don't let the song choices be a decider in buying this. One negative is that occasionally the game (or the joy-cons) might misread what you did, or not read you at all. Which can be annoying, but you just have to remind yourself that you're not doing wrong, you did what it asked. The more you play the more you learn what the game is looking for and the less you'll run into that.Highly recommended for fans of fitness games and/ or rhythm games. Or those just looking for new ways to work out at home.

Great workout
For £30 great buy. If it costs more think how much you will actually use it then buy based on that.Bought this due to lockdown as wanted to keep a little bit active while locked in the house. It’s actually really good. You get a daily work out which you set the duration when first setting up between 15 mins and 1hour. I’m doing for 25 mins and it makes you sweat. You get out what you put in. Down side is the music and the instructions. That’s the only reason I given it a 4 star. If you were expecting this to be great then think again. The instructor repeats themselves but...if you do listen carefully the do offer one or 2 reminders to get the right form to make sure you fee it the next day. There is a training mode where you can learn how to do proper form for each punch duck and weave.Word of advice. You need to keep the screen quite high as if it’s on a low surface you will loose focus if you keep looking down.

Bit Wii fit
Great concept but I feel that Ninetendo got stuck in the phase of the Wii fit with the graphics. Not the best buy!

Love it; Definitely work-up a sweat!!
1st attempted trying this and love it! I wish i brought it sooner! You have a daily exercise to do each day; then if you would like to do extra fitness, you can :-)The songs aren't to bad on there, you unlock different songs to the progress you do...You definitely work-up a sweat, you can unlock it to have different difficulties so in time will get more harder! I brought this due to being on a diet and to get bit fit as don't have confidence going out jogging or to a gym..I have a weak left arm due to metal plate in shoulder; this is helping alot by strengthing it tooWill buy the fitness Boxing 2 in next few months once completed this one! Definitely worth the money 😁

Great Fun and Good Fitness
When an injury sidelined me from running and hiking, I needed something new to keep me in shape. Fitness boxing has been a real success for me! My Garmin tells me that my heart rate in in the zone I want for running anyway, and indeed, if I allow set my Garmin for "indoor running" and ask it to interpret the movements as steps, the time it takes me to "punch a mile" is comparable to what it takes me to run one. Many reviewers have complained about the inaccuracy of the program for scoring movements, and that's definitely an issue, especially for steps rather than punches. However, I find that as I have improved my technique (in part by watching You Tube videos on actual boxing) my scores are improving. So if you're the kind who is frustrated by imperfection in scoring, well, you'll be frustrated. But if, like me, you're looking to do some meaningful cardio, and just need the feedback to have a sense of making progress in technique, well, it's not a real drawback. Finally, I want to say that now that my knee is healed, I'm still using this program for the pure joy of it, and I'm finding that now that I can engage in the lower body movements as vigorously as the upper body ones, it's a surprisingly effective whole-body workout. Not just my arms and shoulders, but my glutes, quads, and hamstrings definitely feel the burn when I am done. This might not be the experience of a 25 year old athlete, but for an active and determined 60 year old woman, Fitness Boxing has been a wonderful tool in my toolkit.
