I’ve had the VonHaus 90” Pull Down Projector Screen for around three years now, and it’s been faultless. The build quality is excellent, and it’s held up really well over time with no sagging or marks on the screen. Installation was straightforward — you can manage it solo with a bit of patience — and once it’s up, it operates smoothly. The picture quality is brilliant when paired with a decent projector, giving you a bright, sharp image even in lower-light settings. For the price, it’s a solid bit of kit that adds a real cinema feel to your setup.

The VonHaus 100" Pull Down Projector Screen is a fantastic addition to my home cinema setup. Installation was straightforward; mounting it on the wall was less complicated than anticipated. The included mounting hardware and clear instructions made the process manageable, even for someone with minimal DIY experience. It allows the screen to retract smoothly and quietly, which is a significant improvement over the snap-back of traditional screens. This screen was being used in a games room, so I chose to buy cheaper as it wasn’t being attached to a 4K source for daily use. The set up is a Benq W1050’s 1080P projector running a 90” image via a Denon base model AV amp. So does it deliver? The screen itself is well made, bright, and the unit I received was undamaged and operated as expected. Mounting is pretty simple, it’s either wall mount or ceiling mount. I managed to do it on my own by mounting the first screw, leaving the unit hanging down, then fit the next screw and then hooking it across. Didn’t need additional help as it isn’t that heavy. Single screw for the wall mount, twin screw for the ceiling. I used a couple of thick washers as spacers as it needs to clear some pictures when it’s pulled down. The retraction mechanism can be a bit hit and miss and I sometimes have to have a few attempts to get the screen back into the housing. I’ve had to move some ornaments and a light from the shelf below it as you have to pull it towards you before it will retract so when you size up keep in mind you’ll need to pull the screen down & out beyond its usual max size to get it to retract! In hindsight I’d have been better off with the 80”. On the whole I’m happy with it now the slightly acrid smell has cleared (takes about a week so leave it open to air for a bit). If I was going to put this in a lounge or regular use location I’d get a motorised unit, but for what we need in the games room it’s a fine screen with a nice bright image.

Gets 4 stars. It's an excellent screen and easy to install & use. There were no instructions included but they weren't needed for the installation. However, it would have been useful to know about the smell for the first few days. Make sure the room is well ventilated. The other issue I had was the delivery. Mine was late. The tracking was supplied very quickly but I could then see that my order was picked up by the courier in Central Scotland. It was then sent down to the Midlands, where it sat for over a week. Really annoying as the courier had to pass my house to take it from central Scotland to the Midlands then to come all the way back up into Scotland???

The first of these screens I ordered arrived with a large hole ripped in the box, the screen itself looked ok but on hanging it on the wall the screen just slid down out of the case as I assume the impact had knocked the roller out of its seating. As it looked like a nice product I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and re ordered another one straight away, putting the blame on the courier (DX). The second one seemed OK when it arrived, apart from a large scratch which someone had tried to cover with a black marker pen, this was inside the polythene packaging so was passed off by their quality control ! Deciding I could live with this as its high up in a dark room I hung it on the wall and pulled the screen down, so far so good, nice picture from my 1080p projector. However when trying to raise the screen it made a noise like a rusty hinge and crawled about a third of the way back into the case and so has now also been returned. For the price it's probably a decent screen if you can just get one delivered undamaged and that works as advertised.

Great quality screen and makes such a difference in picture quality as opposed to projecting onto a wall. Easy to install (if you have the space) do measure before buying because it’s really quite big. I got the 90” version. Pulll down and retraction mechanism works great and I did read that it’s best to keep hold of the screen as you retract it and allow it to gently reel itself back as letting go and allowing it to shoot back up can damage the mechanism so bear that in mind. Looks great and performs perfectly and the size and quality is great value for money. This screen weighs 8.66kgs and although that’s not ridiculously heavy, you may need two people to make installation and adjustments easier. Highly recommend

We have a projector & wanted a proper screen really, this was an absolute bargain.
