Great Product, but no instructions or phone number for missing part?
This is my second one of these skeletons - my eldest daughter got hers when taking anatomy and found it tremendously useful. My youngest daughter is now getting her own as she's following in her sister's footsteps and the older one won't give hers up! He even wears a pirate cap and dreadlocks and is a hit at parties. They're exceptinally well made and well marked.Packaging seemed like an afterthought and I'm amazed that it did not arrive damaged. Credit to the durability of the construction. It did come with a part missing and without any instructions or seller information, so I had to email the seller through the Amazon website. If that works and I get what I need, I'll update this review and bump it to 5 stars.1 star so far is only out of frustrationPart came timely - 5 stars now

easy to put on the stand
I would rate my skeleton 4/5. He is very well constructed, easy to put on the stand, and painted very nicely. No major complaints. Perhaps he could be a little more flexible at the joints though, I've had friends move him around and he gets stuck in weird positions so I need to tell people not to touch him. Also he is very tight so it can be hard to look at the bones in the hand sometimes. If you are a student, I would actually recommend getting a box of bones rather than a full skeleton. I do find this skeleton helpful, however I find using the boxes of bones that my school has to be even more helpful because I can look at all sides of the bones.

Don't normally do reviews, but in my case it was somewhat an easy setup. The issue was getting the screw into the hip joint on both sides...when I got it in, it slipped out several times making it difficult to setup. It doesn't come with a manual; you really don't need one. However, the ends to tighten the screws into place to the hip were not properly wrapped. One was just lying in the box. The other one must have fallen out when I was taking the parts out the box. I didn't know what they were for until I starting putting the skeleton together. Other than the issue I had, which is why I gave 3 stars, it's a simply setup. It would have taken 5-10 minutes max, but turned into 30 minutes getting the screws into the hole, which was a nightmare by itself.

Great buy!
I absolutely love this. I am a PA student at the University of Tennessee HSC and really needed this to help with my gross anatomy studying at home. It is really close the one's we have at our library and in class, but it's obviously just a little cheaper than those. However, it gets the job done and that's what matters. Lastly, I actually have no idea what the student below was talking about because the painted markings are very accurate and the numbers are very easy to see and read. I definitely recommend you give this a shot if you need it for graduate studying.

Accurate, but cheaply made.
Accurate, but a bit cheaply made. Expected better quality for the cost.

Great skeleton model
Great skeleton model. I have this at my office and it really stands out. I was trying to decide between this model (muscular painted) and the other Wellden model (with nerves) and I am glad I chose this one. The extra detail to the where the muscles insert make it stand out more than the other model.

Gene Kelly
I LOVE THIS SKELETON! I purchased him for the anatomy and physiology class I just started teaching this year and I have used him a LOT. I do wish I had some organs I could fit inside to help in addition to the bones and muscles explanations that he is designed for, but the PVC plastic is great for sticking play-doh to and then removing without residue leftover.

Not accurate
I bought this to use for studying purposes for my DPT program. Just noticing now it is missing 3 pairs of spinal nerves plus another nerve on the left side of S 4. No spinal nerves above C1, at S5, or Co1.

Great product for price.
Great for students who are going into any health care profession! Got here fast and easy to set up. I was able to use the arm and the leg separately [remove from skeleton] for anatomy classes. Don't expect the spine to be flexible as there is a metal rod to make it study on the stand. Great product for price. Worth the investment.

Incorrect muscle labelling is a problem
My only - but significant - complaint about this skeleton is that multiple muscle origin/insertions are labelled incorrectly. For example, semispinalis capitis has its origin labelled on the zygomatic arch, zygomaticus major is labelled instead of masseter, zygomaticus minor is where z. major should be, there are no attachments shown on the ribs for the lats, tensor and levator veli palatini have their origins labelled on the TP of C1, lateral pterygoid has origins labelled on the C-spine TPs and insertion on the hyoid bone... And I'm not even halfway through verifying everything as I work my way down. I'm a student of massage therapy and wanted the skeleton in large part as a quick visual reference tool for muscle attachments. Unfortunately I can't rely on this item for that - some of them are right, some are wrong, so I'm spending a great deal of time cross-referencing with my books and fixing the labels that are incorrect. Other than this, the quality is fine.

It is for the most part good value expect for the following and this may not be everyone's issue. I have a problem with skull placement as it sits perhaps 1 inch deep on a smooth metal rod which allows the entire skull to easily dislodge off and fall to the floor. It is therefore totally inadequate and unstable and this aspect disappoints me. I want this company to suggest or send me a stabalizing fixing piece so it just literally cannot simply slide right off the skeleton. Really stupid and irritating this aspect of the build. My hope here was to on occasion remove the skeleton from the stand and gently lay it down on a therapy table and view it supine without its head flying off in the process. I need the option of screwing down the skull at my option just as I can do with the legs and makes sense. Would you kindly have this company contact me on this issue, as it is useless with this instability now. I realize some buyers just want to stare at the thing like they're at an art gallery of a museum but that's not me, I like to handle the item without it flying apart. Thanks
