My teen son and I have played this a lot. You have to really keep your eye on the cards to develop your strategy but it is a lot of fun!! Recommend for teens and up. I would love to play it with more players as it would really get interesting!!

I've often been finding myself in large groups that all want to play a game. It's tough to find something that's not too complicated and doesn't take too long per round. Mascarade is excellent for this and most of the expansion characters are great editions. There are options that definitely change up the game more than I'd like but I just ignore those characters.

I loved the first game so getting this was kind of automatic for me. I still like these and use them, but I feel like the new roles aren't as good as the original set. It's hard to characterize why that is. The only way I can think of is they don't feel very cohesive; that is; they feel somewhat arbitrary.

If you enjoy Mascarade, then you will enjoy this expansion. It adds quite a few new characters.
