Good nutritional composition, flavoursome, not sugary
I have tried many protein bars over the years, I find most of them to be too sugary, full of chocolate or caramel which I'm not a big fan of, too chewy or just bland. I am now exclusively sticking to the Bulk Macro Munch protein bars, because they have a better nutritional composition than most bars I tried (20g proteins per bar for only 8,4g fat and 21g carbs - you usually get more sugar and fat for that ratio of proteins). They do not taste too sugary, they are a little bit chewy like all protein bars but much softer than some other bars which tend to be hard to bite into. They are quite filling, keep me satiated for a while; perfect for when I travel and can't have proper meals on-the-go, and for when I'm at work in back-to-back meetings and need a healthy snack. They do not give me digestive issues thankfully. I actually always have one of those in my bag. My favourite flavours are Raspberry Cheesecake and Cherry Bakewell, both very flavoursome (especially Cherry Bakewell, really tastes and smells of cheeries), I am not a milk/dark chocolate lover hence I can't comment on the other flavours, but they all seem to have more or less the same nutritional composition. They are a bit pricey, but I get them when they are on promotion on Amazon, which comes back regularly, and as always they get delivered within 24h with Prime which is always convenient. Long story short - I have tried many (many!!) protein bars over the years, these are the only ones I buy now.

Good, not great tasting protein bar!
Why I Bought This: I'm a regular user of Bulk supplements and decided to try their premium protein bar line. I needed a dense, satisfying snack to curb cravings and hit my protein targets, and the Millionaires Shortbread flavour sounded too good to be true. It nearly lived up to the hype! The Game-Changing Benefits (The Pros): Unbelievable Taste: This is hands-down one of the best-tasting protein bars I have ever tried. It genuinely tastes like a millionaire shortbread dessert. The layers of soft protein base, rich caramel, and chocolate coating are decadent, and the texture is soft and chewy—it's nothing like the usual dry, chalky bar. Massive 20g Protein: It delivers an excellent 20g of protein, making it highly effective for post-workout recovery or as a serious, satisfying snack between meals. It crushes hunger for hours. Size and Density: The 62g bar is substantial. It feels like a proper indulgence and helps satisfy that sweet tooth without cheating on your diet goals. Low Sugar: For a bar that tastes this good, the sugar content is kept admirably low, relying on sweeteners that don't cause me digestive issues (unlike some competitors). The Compromise (The Cons): Higher Calorie/Fat Count: Because it tastes so good and has such a rich texture, the calorie count (around 240-250 kcal depending on the exact batch) and the fat content are on the high side for a small protein bar. It’s an indulgence that needs to be factored carefully into a strict cutting diet. Packaging Issues (Minor): Occasionally, the chocolate coating can stick to the wrapper, especially in warm weather, making the unboxing a little messy. Final Verdict: The Macro Munch Millionaires Shortbread is the undisputed champion of protein bar flavour and texture. If you are looking for a genuinely delicious, satisfying, and high-protein snack, buy this box. It loses one star only because of the higher fat/calorie count compared to ultra-lean bars. Highly recommended if you prioritize taste and satisfaction!

Great texture
Really great. Love the crumbly cookie in the middle, best flavour I've had so far of these

Damaged Box, Underwhelming Flavour, Good Price
Box arrived very damaged and taped together at the front, but they were just for me so not a huge problem. The tape does imply they were sent damaged, and not damaged in transit though, which is quite disappointing. The flavour and texture of these is very mediocre, and I probably wouldn't buy any from this brand again. The centre is quite dry, and the taste is just basic coffee flavouring, it doesn't taste of real coffee or anything else in a tiramisu. They were the cheapest protein bars I found at the time without peanuts (I hate the taste, it is not an allergy), and I will eat them eventually, but I still prefer Fulfil bars for now. Not terrible, not particularly great, very forgettable.

These mint bars tasted awful!
Now I realise that this is just my own personal taste, but these mint bars tasted sooo awful that I had to spit it out into the bin! I don't buy a great deal of these types of protein bars, as I don't like the thought of frequently taking in artificial flavourings, sweeteners etc. I do usually have one box in stand by though, and this was really a substitute for the former phd mint bars, which they don't seem to make any more. After a week, I decided to try another bar, just to make sure that they really did taste that bad....and it did! Unfortunately, I had to return them for a refund.

Just another fake tasting protein bar.
Just another fake tasting protein bar. Don’t be deceived by the pictures. They are not millionaires shortbread. No caramel or shortbread, just flavoured with a few crispy bits.

The Anthony Joshua Bar
Needed to put weight on after dropping loads after a medical issue. Was eating tons without much luck, then had to cut down sugar. My mate, who seems to enjoy lifting heavier weights than the TV remote for some unfathomable reason, suggested I try protein bars. He suggested one type and they were priced like bars of gold bullion. These aren't much cheaper, but they have complex numbers with a lot of letters next to them. Ivan Drago type advanced training technology. Then I saw that they were good enough for Anthony Joshua and well, if they were good enough for that big lump, they were good enough for a munch in front of the TV. I got some 'birthday cake' bars delivered for a princely sum equivalent to three chicken breasts a bar, and went to hit my target of the upper limit of two bars per day. One at mid morning and one at prime TV time in the evening. The bars are tasty. They carry some considerable weight, and are filling. My physio who explained some of my loss of muscle mass was due to over extending myself watching the television, said I should combine them with exercise afterwards. I went for a walk after each bar. First day was spot on but by the third day, I could have blown up a hot air balloon with my impressive flatulence. Such was the brilliance of my new skill, my 6 and 7 year old would dive for cover, giggling, as Daddy took off down the runway (hallway) again and again and again. This all culminated in an event caused by getting overexcited going for my cool walk, in the cool park, with the fresh air and full positive mental health shizz. Unfortunately, near the skater park, a familiar rumbling sparked an instinctive contraction, and that oh so funny game, wasn't so funny with 3,000 steps on my newly purchased wearable, to get back home and strip off. I would just have one a day and see how you go on. Two was funny, but the joke was on me eventually.
