Will this work for a powershot G5x Mark ii?

No, this will not work for G5 X Mark II. Although PowerShot G5 X Mark II also uses the battery NB-13L, but there is no notch in the mouth of the battery cavity in the camera body. So there is no hole through which the wire of dummy battery can lead out / exit. Actually PowerShot G5 X Mark II uses an USB ac power adapter PD-E1.

This adapter says it works for the mark iii g7x? how can you close the battery door on the mark iii g7x?

It's not possible. I returned my item because it will not work with the mark iii due to the redesigned battery door.

Canon g7 ii. i wanted something that would record longer then a 23 min battery. this thing records for 24 min then shuts off. not the 64gb sd card. ??

This works great for my Poweshot G5x mark 2

I ordered this in 2021 for my upstairs recording studio for streaming. It worked perfectly so I ordered it again for my video studio. I am so happy with this product. It powers my Cannon perfectly and though I have read the camera won't power up if the battery door is open, mine works without any problem at all. I had a question about the adapter and the support from Tony at Glorich was amazing. I highly recommend this adapter and love the integrity and care of the company behind it.

Works perfectly

This works great with my g7x mark ii. The camera asked and warned about a counterfeit battery but once pass that it’s exactly what I was looking for. The battery cover doesn’t close but the dummy battery is secured inside.

Over heating burning smell

I’m not sure is I received a defective one but my camera over heated in less than a minute. It’s had a burning smell and when I tried to turn it on I got a code saying it’s shutting it off for my safety. I only had it a few hours. I thought this was going to be great for recording my podcast. I did reach out to the seller but haven’t heard back yet so Im returning.
