I Love the Nutcracker (My First Sound Book) Board book – September 25, 2018

I don’t like that the old tune doesn’t stop automatically when the child trying to start a new one . There are some other products at the market which have such feature.

My little one LOVES THIS BOOK he enjoys listening to music and reading so this is the perfect way to combine the two while learning some classics.

I read reviews for other books of this series and they all warned of the low volume of the sound. Since I couldn't find such a warning for this book, I got it for our daughter who loves sound books (currently 10 months old).The illustrations are cute and the music selection is great - perfect to introduce a little one to the nutcracker, not just the story but also the music. However, the volume of the sound is very low and so our loud and active daughter looses interest fast.Nevertheless, we really like it for quiet time and I bet we will read it lots during the holiday season. So we do recommend it but be aware of the very low volume.

Wonderful way to introduce little ones to music.

As a classical music teacher, I knew I had to have this for my 18 month old daughter. It looked cute and seemed like it was the perfect Christmas book for her stocking.Was Not disappointed! Easily my favorite toddler book. Not only are the buttons *extremely* easy/fun for her to press, but the music is beautifully orchestrated, not some cheap sounding synthesized piano. It's a full orchestra recording and a good enough chunk of each piece (a full phrase of each piece) for her to be able to recognize the piece if it comes on the radio. Can't wait to try the other books!

Music is very nice. One-year old can push the buttons to hear the music without difficulty

My granddaughter loves this book. She can push the buttons to activate the music herself. I love this book so much I ordered others in the series. Great value!

Our 15 month old loves these books. She finds the silver button and loves the cause and effect of pressing them and hearing the music. Not super annoying sound wise either! Batteries are hard to find. Had to order extras which is fine since she has 3 “my first sound books” so I can replace batteries in all the books as needed.

I chose this version of the Nutcracker among such a huge variety of Nutcracker books to introduce my 20 month old to the ballet and I'm super happy with my choice! Like other reviewers say, it is *easy* for children to press the button to trigger the music (unlike other books that may be better suited for older children but have harder buttons to press). Like most board books, the text is pretty simple which makes it easy for a parent to personalize/add to the story for their child or in this case, act it out and dance with your child! Each spread has a cute illustration and a beautiful, complete musical phrase from one of the Nutcracker songs. My toddler's favorite is the dance of the sugar plum fairy :) perfect little Nutcracker board book, I plan on looking for other books in this series for my child :)

I have had several of these books from this series, and the ones from Amazon have been very quiet. It’s almost as if the batteries are dead upon arrival. Too bad!If you can find these books in store - highly recommend!!

This Nutcracker sound book has volume trouble. when compare with other books, there are not 3holes overleaf to listen well.
