These braces hold the ankle firm and keep my ankle from pronating inward. This is the second set that I've ordered because they work so well. I often wear the brace when walking around without shoes.

According to their size guide, I would wear a medium. I got a large and ended up cutting them so that I could get them over my feet.After I took scissors to the top/ ankle opening (I trimmed it at a mild diagonal with the high part being at the back of the foot) the brace seems to work fine. I like that they sew on a binding to the toe and ankle openings, and it otherwise seems well made. But I can't give a positive rating to something that I bought and then had to alter myself for it to perform its intended function. They NEED to fix their sizing, very, very badly. I just can't recommend them until they do.

I have old injuries in both ankles and surgery is 10 weeks non weight bearing, which isn't an option for me right now. These ankle supports are so comfortable. They are adjustable, so I can control the amount of support and compression. They fit under my shoes, although I think I will get longer shoestrings for my gym sneakers. They reduce the swelling in my ankles by at least 50%. When I first put them on, I can notice the extra material under my foot, but once they are on a few minutes, I don't notice...I wear them all day, as I am a hair stylist and stand most of the day. I highly recommend if you are having ankle pain, swelling or instability. I also wear them to the gym and they are very helpful!They have reduced the pain in my ankles and I would highly recommend.

I just received the ankle brace, and am dismayed to find that the size small is much too large for me. I wear a US women's size 6 to 6.5 shoe. I am not an exceptionally small or thin person, but the "sock" portion of the brace is so loose that it will provide no support at all, and it actually gapes around my foot and ankle. The only support will come from the straps. I looked carefully at the size chart, which said that the "small" should fit a women's size 3.5 and up. Even allowing for UK sizing (not specified in the chart), this should accommodate me, but the item is far too large. How very disappointing!

These ankle supports worked well for me. They are well made. I was using a lot of sports tape before, but this worked better for providing needed support.
