A great work-table, almost perfectly counter-height, and sturdy as heck
I did research for a few months trying to figure out how I was going to add some extra counter space to my modestly sized New York apartment's kitchen. After looking at every single option (..literally, everything), I decided to stick to my guns and go for a Stainless Prep Table. After looking around for something that was a) affordable, b) the correct height (My counters are 36 inches, and a lot of these tables are 34 inches tall), I settled on this Table. Let me say, I am not sure about all the reviewers whose units had broken off nuts, just seems like poor quality control, and possibly some returns being re-sold. I will definitely acknowledge that there were some minor imperfections on the table, though none serious enough to warrant me taking a photo of (1 inch, pretty shallow scratch in one spot, and a 1-2mm wide dent in another). This is something that is noted in the Listing here, but before buying on Amazon I went to the MFG's website, and found that they (GRIDMANN) posted the same disclaimer on their site as well, meaning that any issues with the product are to be expected (within an acceptable limit) as these are meant to be used in commercial applications. I was VERY happy with this table. Assembly was very simple, and to give it a whirl I hopped up and sat on the table-top after I finished putting it together, and it felt rock solid (6'1", 170). With the adjustable legs the counter surface is about 35 1/2 in. high (plus a 1.5 in. cutting board on top of that for most prep. feels great), it feels level when I am chopping or slicing food, and as a prep area and workstation for my Sous Vide tub/Instant Pot its super convenient (and the stainless doesn't need to be as worried about as a solid wood top). Shipping was fast, product didn't look to banged up, YMMV but you might luck out like I and many others did :)

Awesome. A perfect way to gain counter space without spending a lot.
I love the big kitchen in my apartment, but the dearth of countertop space was a huge problem. I am a real cheapskate when it comes to furniture and I had a secondhand kitchen table that was about to be reduced to toothpicks if I used my stand mixer on it again. Kitchen islands are pretty expensive and countertop height tables don't offer a shelf underneath unless you want to pay a lot more. I had a notion to check out prep tables instead, and came across this guy. The negative reviews seemed to focus on dings and scratches and other cosmetic issues. This is a prep table, so it isn't meant to be pretty- it is practical. The two shelves have shrink wrapping to protect in transit, so any scratches I saw were tiny. It took us less than a half hour to assemble. It is sturdy enough to use my mixer on, but light enough to pull away from the wall when I am cleaning floors. The shelf underneath is great for things like bags of potatoes and dish towels. According to my cats, it is also fantastic for naps. My kitchen seems so much larger now, and prep work is so much easier now. Totally worth it.

Excellent value! Some scratches and one small bend on the top left back corner, quite satisfied
Yep it has some flaws. Don't care. It's sturdy and looks good, does show any and I do mean ANY scratches at all that get on the surface but if you wanted something that wont deface or look like its seen use, you're going to spend more money. Probably a lot more. Came with a dented/bent corner on the back top left, (circled in the picture I added text but its probably too small to read, just says "Fixed with pliers and small hammer" I don't blame the shipping or the packaging, its a heavy dang table and I live in Alaska. One small bend from shipping a couple thousand extra miles... I'm good. Assembly was pretty fast and the only reason I took a star off was because the "adjustable legs" would be annoying to get to the exact height all the way around. Possible of course but it would take a bit and probably be frustrating. The legs in the top of the table are two screws tightened/held by Allen screws and then again 2 Allen screws for the middle shelf, so 4 screws per leg. Used a level to setting the shelf, came out great! The shelf also adds a good deal of rigidity and strength to the table as the legs are not moving around at all once they are tightened up using the provided Allen screws. I think and will update if I'm wrong but I believe the table with the legs all the way into the top sits at about 34.75 inches. Table height 34.75, not back-splash height. My counter is about 36 as you can see behind the table so the back-splash is almost exactly at the height of the center island. This table was a very nice addition for our kitchen and added a good amount counter space. I added a large cutting board to it and that has been it. OK, the roses were for our anniversary. Cleaning the table, I used a Clorox wipe (center/right of picture) and while it cleaned it, it also made some streaks, used Windex wipe and that came out pretty much perfect after that. Clorox of course kills anything and has gotten anything off of the table but they are quite a bit more damp. Left to dry, then come back with the Windex and all good.

Pro look, amateur price
Standard commercial kitchen table. Yes few bumps from shipping but what do you expect? If you need something that is totally perfect and blemish proof, you're in the wrong price range. This thing looks good to me and was easy to assemble alone. Tip: Its difficult to get the lower shelf to 'slide' on all 4 legs evenly, otherwise its a breeze. Here's my recommendation 1) mark desired lower shelf height on all 4 legs with sharpie 2) lay tabletop facedown on floor 3) lay shelf facedown on top of tabletop, line up corner holes for legs 4) insert legs through holes for both tabletop and shelf 5) tighten tabletop corners After that you're kind of on your own, I stacked up the right height of cardboard boxes and flipped whole table to its standing position with lower shelf positioned over center of box stack. Then I shimmied each corner of shelf to its desired height mark and tightened. Its easier to lower shelf from center point evenly, total pain to try to pull one end down then the other end.

Exactly What I Wanted!
I had contemplated getting a kitchen island for some time, but opted for this prep table. I am very happy with my purchase. The table arrive well packaged with no damage. It was easy to assemble. I love the backsplash! This comes in handy! To help make it look a little less industrial, I bought reed baskets with lids for the bottom shelf where I keep my potatoes and onions. It can scratch, so you do have to use a cutting board. I throw grocery bags up there on a regular basis, and it has been just fine. Because it is stainless steel, it can get that foggy look if you don't use a stainless steel polish or wipes after you sanitize it. My husband loves this table to roll out dumplings! We would definitely purchase this again! Update: Four years later, this is still one of the most used surfaces in my kitchen! Be careful about leaving damp items on it as they will produce rust. The structural integrity is still solid and we still love it.

Excellent
First time I post a review. This is the second table I got from This Seller. The first one the packing was terrible, awful. The box came broken. Bought 1 year ago. but the second one bought one month ago, came perfect. Packing 10/10. Super strong. It won’t break at all. I think The Seller learned the lesson from the bad reviews. And now it’s Shipped by Amazon, it arrived in 1 day to Brooklyn, The table it’s a good product. I love it. It’s a Little bit expensive than others but I don’t mind to Pay a extra now that I saw How It’s pack. Please don’t change it to save a few bucks. Yesterday I ordered a Third one. I’ ll see how it comes.
