Hand Blown Glass Christmas Ornament - Peacock Feather Ball

I created this handblown glass ornament as a christmas ornament, but it can be given for many different occasions. The hand blown glass ball is made out of borosilicate or boro glass and surrounds 1 peacock feather. It is a handmade piece of glass art created by me, Kyle Keeler. The glass ornament also comes with a story I wrote involving a Carolina Wren. You are purchasing an ornament similar to one seen above. There is more than one available. The inspiration for the feather ball came from an experience I recently had with a Carolina Wren. In February, I took two months off to remodel my kitchen. Upon returning to the studio I discovered a wren had built a nest in a container on a shelf in the corner of my studio. THE SYMBOLISM OF THE FEATHER BALL The feather represents a dream or goal that you have and the clear glass surrounding it represents the importance of seeing that dream every day and protecting it, until it can fly. I invite you also to find your own interpretation of the feather ball.
