Will these work on train seats in a roomette on Amtrak?

Never been on an Amtrak but the seat covers are large. They don't necessarily protect you from bed bugs because it doesn't bind tight to the seat. It protects you from germs on the seats and give you some peace of mind.

Does it let any particle through? I would like to use it to protecf from food contaminant for my food allergic child.

The material is much like that of Tyveck Suits. I do think it will work for that.
