Elegant and modern, probably my last investment of a wallet till I die
Received my Ridge wallet today, paid about 80 quid as there was a slight discount, I've heard good things about them and I was starting to loathe the wallet I had been carrying for several years now.First impressions are it feels well constructed, it uses tension from the straps to keep the cards enclosed, I will be seeing how long the tension lasts after months of taking cards out, replacing cards, adding new cards etc. The money clip is a nice addition, apologies for the terrible folding, I just wanted to demonstrate it in the photo, had I folded it properly I estimate you could probably stack about 100-150 quid in 10s before you start to worry about money falling out at inconvenient times. As you can see in that photo, I can several cards of average width and depth, only one is of bulkier build and that went in fineThere's no rough edges on the money clip so it doesn't rub against your skin in an offensive way (if you decide to face it towards the leg), I'll see if that changes in summer (sweaty bollocks) if that adds some friction and discomfort. Will probs update this when I get to use it on the field at Tesco on how easy it is for a simpleton like myself to specific cards out in a timely manner.Final word on this, if I were forced to speak in one word sentences, would be; wooooow.P.S sorry if the text being upside down in that photo with my cards is setting off your OCD.

Convenient form factor that doesn't bulk out the pocket.
I have been toting a leather tri-fold wallet with Faraday shielding for years, but I have had an eye on "minimalists" for a while now, and The Ridge appeared to be a champion of the breed.I have seen some negative reviews for reasons with which I don't agree. For example, one reviewer complained that the cards have to come out at an angle, because you can only push on the thumb notch, and that that makes it difficult to extract a card from the middle. I find that if I put my right thumb on the bottom of the cards, at the thumb notch, and place my right index finger over the tops of the card, and then pull the wallet down with my left hand, they come out straight, and it's easy to select a specific card.Another review raised the concern that pushing another card in (again at an angle) would in time damage the elastic (effectively, the cards would saw at the elastic). I find it easy enough to pull the panels apart at the top and push a new card in straight (I currently have 8 in the wallet).Another claimed that the cards lost their magnetic strips grinding together. Perhaps inserting and extracting cards the way the other reviewers claimed they had to do would do the trick, but I find doing it my way doesn't grind the cards any worse than any other wallet.I find the small form factor very convenient, and the money clip (you can get one with a strap, also) is pretty strong for notes, but you do have to fold them twice to not overhang the wallet. I have not had any durability issues yet, but I have only had the wallet for a week. But because it is small enough to fit into the glass dish in which I place my keys, my coins and my work security pass, I am never likely to forget it, even with my very early morning start.

I needed an RFID blocker for my travels, and pounced on this.It looks great, sleek, black, metal. But, mine came with a money clip, which at first looks fine, but it has an upturned end to the clip that when put in your jeans or trouser pocket looks weird if pointed away from you leg, and a bit uncomfortable if pointed towards your leg.I'm not convinced the clip wouldn't wear away the material of the pocket so I've removed mine. A money strap would have been better. You can buy them with straps rather than clips. Is it worth £80? No way. Perhaps £40 at a push.

Great wallet
Saw a commercial about this wallet. Decided to give it a try since my back was always hurting from carrying a traditional wallet. Holds several credit card size cards and fits in the front pocket. Easy to use and I like the strap in the back when having bills.

Very nice, but high price.
The Ridge Minimalist Slim Wallet for Men in Burnt Titanium presents itself as a pinnacle of modern design, boasting an amalgamation of durability, functionality, and aesthetic elegance. Crafted with precision and utilizing the finest materials, this wallet is marketed as an epitome of convenience and style. However, despite its allure and purported benefits, it stands under the shadow of being an overpriced luxury item, commanding a premium price that may not be commensurate with its intrinsic value. At first glance, the wallet's burnt titanium construction immediately captivates the eye, radiating a sleek and sophisticated aura. The material itself promises exceptional durability, offering resistance to scratches, wear, and tear, ensuring a prolonged lifespan that surpasses conventional leather or fabric wallets. This attribute serves as a cornerstone of its marketing pitch, appealing to individuals seeking longevity and resilience in their everyday accessories.Functionality is another cornerstone of The Ridge Minimalist Slim Wallet. Its design ingeniously integrates RFID-blocking technology, providing security against electronic pickpocketing and unauthorized access to credit card information. Moreover, its slim profile allows for effortless placement in front pockets, evoking a sense of practicality and comfort for individuals keen on streamlined and unobtrusive carry solutions. One cannot overlook the wallet's ingenious money clip, meticulously designed to securely hold cash without adding unnecessary bulk. This thoughtful addition caters to those who prefer a hybrid solution that combines the functionalities of a cardholder with the convenience of cash storage, further enhancing its appeal. However, the allure of The Ridge Minimalist Slim Wallet's durability and functionality is somewhat dulled by the elephant in the room: its exorbitant price tag. While premium materials and innovative design undoubtedly contribute to its quality, the cost vastly overshadows the wallet's inherent value. The burnt titanium construction, while durable, doesn’t justify the significantly inflated price point when compared to more affordable yet equally functional alternatives in the market.Furthermore, the concept of a minimalist wallet, although appealing, doesn’t exclusively belong to this particular product. Various brands offer similar RFID-blocking, slim-profile wallets constructed from different materials, catering to a wide spectrum of budgets without compromising on functionality or aesthetics. This juxtaposition calls into question the justification for the astronomical premium attached to The Ridge's offering. In essence, The Ridge Minimalist Slim Wallet in Burnt Titanium is undoubtedly an alluring accessory, boasting durability, functionality, and an undeniable sense of style. However, its status as an overpriced luxury item is difficult to ignore. While it excels in certain aspects, the price-to-value ratio raises skepticism, suggesting that its hefty price tag is more reflective of brand prestige and marketing prowess rather than its intrinsic worth. In conclusion, while The Ridge Minimalist Slim Wallet may undeniably be a testament to craftsmanship and modern design, its price remains its Achilles' heel, rendering it an extravagant indulgence rather than a justifiable purchase for the average consumer.
