I have been wanting this sink rack for years !!!
I am very happy with purchase! My sink is 25 years old and now looks brand new. Quality is sturdy and definitely functional because I do not have to reach into my deep kitchen sink to get items. My sink is protected and the fit of the rack is perfection!

Beautiful Fit, Quality is Excellent!
Grid is absolutely beautiful and fits perfectly. Better than the vinyl coated original. Had the original grid for over 10 years. Time for a replacement. This un-coated grid looks really great. The grid is of a heavier construction than the original. It is longer, from front to back, covering the area over the drain much more accurately. The padded feet are fine, heavier than expected, and should protect the sink bottom for a long time. It also came with eight (8) 1" bumpers around the perimeters, to better protect the sink on all four sides. Two in front, and rear; two on both right and left sides. The quality is excellent. I looked at all the comments. All were very helpful when selecting a Franke replacement. I am very pleased with the decision to go without the vinyl-covered grid. This one looks much better than my original and will be easier to maintain. Very satisfied!

Good news! Fits discontinued Franke double bowl undermount sink
We purchased the Franke PRK-120 fireclay double bowl undermount sink more than 15 years ago, and it has withstood the test of time. But the bottom grid, the coated stainless steel version, has not done as well. It became dingy/discolored, plus debris and dark grunge managed to find their way under the silicone coating. Unsightly, but not affecting the function of the grid to protect the sink. Franke discontinued the sink and the grid (PK-36C coated stainless version and PK-36S stainless, no coating version) many years ago, leaving owners in the lurch. Took a chance on this stainless steel gird (PR-36S) and, bah-bam, it fits perfectly! Took photos of the old and new grids stacked in the sink, and a solo of the new grid. Old grid off to the recycling bin.

For a change, better than expected
For 8 years, we had what we thought was the coated version (PR36C) of this grid. However, what we got when we ordered the uncoated stainless version (PR36S) is not the same size or heft as our old one. Similarly, the picture that accompanies this ad is not shaped like that which we received; it looks like our old one (which I now suspect was a PR31C). All that being said, what we just received is larger, is a perfect fit to our PRX-160 sink - extending to all four walls - and of a far more substantial guage of stainless wire. Time will tell whether an uncoated grid is less of a headache than coated, but I expect so. The coated versions get disgusting after a couple of years - pinpoint holes allowing water and food to accumulate and turn brown under the coating. At these kind of prices, it is not something you want to replace every couple of years. Unlike the coated versions, I expect that I should be able to either hand-scrub or dishwasher the raw stainless. Bottom line: a far more attractive and sturdy tool for the sink bottom than we have ever had.

Franke PR-36S Prestige Series Sink Bottom Grid, Stainless Steel, Chrome
This item seems to be made well, it looks nice and fits perfectly in the bottom of my sink. Unlike my old sink grid, it doesn't tip over if objects are placed on it near the drain opening. So, I'm basically happy with it. The only reason I have knocked off some stars it that this item (and others like it) seems to be way overpriced. It is a simple metal grid with rubber bumpers that sits in the bottom of the sink - why does it cost over $120?

Bigger, better, perfect fit.
Ok this is a really good grid, much better than the old plastic covered one we had, it fits the sink much better, is uncovered stainless, no plastic which degrades and burns with hot pans, bigger gauge stainless, better made, bigger feet protectors and this one has side bumpers which protect the sides of the sink. Overall a much better product. These things are expensive but I could say this is almost a good value vs the old grid. P.S. the picture they show is the old grid, same as what we had. The picture is probably the PR-31 that we've all been buying as the PR-36 all these years. the newer grid is shaped exactly to the sink, you'll be much happier with the new grid. Our sink by the way is the Franke PRX 160 and it fits it perfectly. Edit: The picture of the grid has been updated so it's now the proper picture of the one being sold.

Great Shelf for Franke Sinks
This is a very nicely made sink shelf for my Franke sink. Note this is the "S" version (PR-36S). I had the "C" version that some sites call "chrome" but is actually the same stainless steel but coated with some plastic. Franke says that version is for users who want to protect their china better, but if you use a lot of hot water or hot pots, that melts the plastic. It was also impossible to keep clean. Who doesn't use hot water and hot pots??? This version seems much more practical to me, and can even go in the dishwasher. It is also shaped to better fit in the sink.....the picture here is the old one, while the one I got contours to the sink better up around the drain area. It also comes with some plastic bumpers on the edges to prevent hitting the sink....not sure if those are needed but we'll see. I'm very happy with this choice.

No idea what went wrong or was it a quality check failure but the grid does not fit my sink, the top corners protrude too much. Franke customer service did not respond either - this is being returned and i hope someone else dont get the same grid which doesnt fit. For what its worth, it is pretty well made, hefty, no rough edges.
