Winternacht German Cherry Stollen Full-Size with a Tunnel of Marzipan & Cherry Brandy Liqueur (2 Pack Cherry Stollen)

Stollen is my Christmas weakness ever since a German friend of mine gave me a homemade loaf more than 30 years ago! Is this as good. No, homemade is always best (by a good baker) but this is my first time sampling this brand and it is lovely! It arrived fresh, moist and delicious! Oh well, there goes all my hard work losing a couple of pounds….back to the grind in the New Year lol. I’ll enjoy every last crumb of this lovely bread.

I have loved stollen all my life. This product is just awful. First, it is dry. Second, the "marzipan" (one of my favorite things ever) neither looks nor tastes like food. This was literally yuck. To make things worse, I paid a LOT to get it on time, only to be told just before it was due for Christmas that it would not come till after. So I went out and purchased other things, only to have this nasty HUGE disappointment show up before Christmas after all. Unfortunately, I had ordered two and gave one to someone else before I discovered how truly awful it is. Literally made me queasy and I threw it all out.

This stollen has good flavor, but you have to heat it up, otherwise you’ll find it to be hard and dry. I think all stollen is like this.

Stollen is just about the best I have ever had...moist, full of fruit and marzipan...love it!

Product was not as good as expected. Very few cherries and little flavor. Very overpriced. Will not buy again. Would not recommend. The stolen in Germany is ten times better.
