HAZARD 4PMC(TM) Modular Patch Area Tactical Ball Cap (R)

I’m very happy with is hat. I’ve put a high visibility badge on all four sides. And the front has a small flag patch on it too. There is a top place to mount another patch but I haven’t mounted one there.Very pleased with the quality on this hat. It fits good.

When I ordered the hat, I was excited, as it fills a need for one hat, a billboard, per se, that can be changed as the job description changes...When I got it and opened the box, the coyote tan hat greeted me. I ordered black. I contacted the company, and received uber assistance in exchanging the hat. One interesting thing though...I wore the tan hat for a couple of days, and it fit incredibly well (my head is a little large, with a high crown) When I returned it and got the black one, it is made differently. While still fitting, it seems to be slightly smaller in circumference above the adjustable band in the back.I still love it, and will wear it often, but I wonder about the difference in the hat. Perhaps a different person sewed the black one?Also, the shipping was incredible. I got the hat within two days of ordering, and got the replacement within 5 days of shipping the incorrect one back.Overall, 10 stars, if this is indicative of their entire product line, I will be getting more!

Was initially pleased when I opened the package. The cap seemed sturdy enough, and the multiple patches of velcro for mounting morale patches was the whole reason I bought it. But when I tried it on, I discovered that it was not the cap for me. As someone who can't stylishly or comfortably wear strap-backed caps due to them having to be fully extended to even fit on my head, I can safely say that these hats seem to be made for smaller heads than mine. Even with the strap in back fully extended, it would not fit my head comfortably. Sold it to my brother, whom it fits reasonably well, and he seems to like it just fine. If the company ever makes a larger version, I will be very interested. The only complaint I have other than the size is the retention strap and clip. If you want it fully retracted, there is nowhere to conceal the clip. This is a minor issue, though, and I suspect the strap could be easily removed if it became inconvenient.

I tend to read a lot of reviews before I buy something from amazon and I was cautious of buying this cap because I found that another buyer had trouble with the size...I have a big dome, almost a 9 in cap size, and this hat fits me very well and there is room for more. Its simple construction is comfortable and it is adjustable from the velcro back strap. It has places to put patches, one on the fastening strap, the sides, the main patch in the front, and has velcro at the apex of the hat.Even the chicks dig it, I am serious, I was complemented my many for the look of this hat. lol The look of the cap looks like you mean business.Recommended for those who like to swap out Morale patches and going to the range. Haven't tested it in the field.

longer bill then i was expecting. but functional. material seems standard for the price.not amazing not bad. velcro is sown down properly. no corners sticking out and doesnt rip off with changing or taking off patches. the back strap is an adjustable velcro, dont know what the keeper string is suppose to do. (its also velcro but inserted through a small hole in the lining material on the back side.) i dont know any one high speed enough to need that who isnt already adjusting the strap for a snug fit. maybe if your a crew chief around choppers all day if your allowed a hat, but thats what ear pro does. what ever. good hat for the money.

A lot of types of these hats online now, but this one is stitched better, and is made with better materials. It is made in Taiwan which is much better craftsmanship then china. Nice because it has the ability to add other patches or Velcro accessories to the hat, like a flashlight holder, or more patches. The hat is adjustable and fits like any other adjustable baseball cap. The hat also comes with a cord and clip to hang on your collar or clothes instead of needing to use the Velcro, or just lose the hat in wind or during moderate movement and activity.

This is a hat! I have a condor and a rothco velco...they suck! This is durable, it is what a hat shout be, nice thick bill that retains the shape you give it. This is coming from someone who owns over 40 hats...this one is the best made hat I own...it is great! Highly recommend hazard4 hats, I'm curious to see what else they make thats amazing.What I'm trying to say is, yes this hat is more expensive at $24, but the others are 12 and this one is ten times the quality.

the shape, material and wear of the hat is nothing short of outstanding. I actually own a couple of them.

I bought this hat as I have a few other Hazard 4 items (Shore-leave split-roller, Over-watch Day pack, 2 Night Crawlers and a wallet) so I knew the construction would be first class. That it is and I have no problems with the quality, or colour for that but I do have a problem with the size. Not the head circumference (that Isn't a problem with the Velcro adjuster at the back) but the Crown size. I consider myself a Medium and I say this as all purchases I've made in the past have been in medium and this has always been sufficient.The problem with the crown is that it sits too high on my head. If I measure from one side where the cap sits on my head at my ear then over the top to the other ear, I get a measurement of 13" or 330mm. My current black MFH and my MTP Helikon both have a measurement of 12" or 305mm so that 1" or 25mm makes all the difference. I wear prescription ballistic safety glasses and for the cap to fit as I would expect, tight and smooth I had to pull the cap right down to the top of my ears and that interfered with the arms of my glasses. This had me constantly adjusting them in the very short time I wore the cap. So in effect the crown is too big for "my" head.It's a shame, as the look and feel of the cap was just what I wanted but unfortunately the sizing let it down. Just be aware of this measurement before purchasing and for that reason I can only give this a 3* rating, if the crown was smaller I would definitely give this cap a 5* rating but don't be put off by this, measure your head and if it's ok then go ahead and buy this product. I will be keeping this cap if only to be used as a spare in the field as they really don't come any better than this.

The black caps fade incredibly fast. Have had 4 and each one has faded within a few months

Great hat! Seems to be pretty sturdy and tough, and the velcro patches aren't going anywhere. Only downside is that I ordered in Coyote thinking it'd be the Coyote Tan shown in the picture, but instead a Coyote Brown hat arrived. Basically, the velcro tabs and the hat's fabric are the exact same colour as the tabs in the above picture: much darker than Coyote Tan. It's still a good hat. Just bear this in mind if you're trying to colour-coordinate something.
