Bought cheaper than the one sold locally. Saved over $10. Needed to replace my old one that lasted from Nov - Jan on a house with a well that smells like sulfur. Made a big difference. Didnt want to spend a lot of $ on a sulfur removal treatment but this is a good alternative. I would continuously buy this and from this company. This will last for another 3 months.

In the past I have used the Pentek FloPlus filters. They go for $79 now on Amazon. Each time I replace a filter, I look for new alternatives. This time I found the Geekpure. It's close to 1/3 the price I was paying. It came with 5-star reviews. Why not! I know that a new filter is needed when the pressure drops. I replaced the old with the Geekpure. It's a 5 Micron carbon like the rest. The pressure was back. No smell of chlorine or anything else. Great tasting water. That's all I'm looking for. Now, we'll see how long it lasts. That's the final test.

this filter stopped a lot of impurities in my water before it went thru the softner. lasts about 8 months for me.

Works fine in my Whole House 20 inch Pentek Big Blue Filter Housing. I've used the Pentek EM-20BB cartridges for the last 10+ years but thought I'd try this Geekpure filter which was 35% less expensive. At a flow rate of 8 GPM there is a 2 psi pressure drop which is the same as the Pentek filters upon initial installation. The old filter I replaced was at a 3-4 psi drop at the same flow rate after being in service a year. I have pressure gauges installed ahead of and after the filter to monitor pressure drop. Feed water tested 1.3 ppm Free Chlorine and 0.1 ppm (or less) after the filter at that 8 GPM flow rate. We'll see how it goes.

I am single, and I use this as a whole house filter. I replace it around my birthday every year. It works great. I live in a rural neighborhood, my neighbors will complain about the water's chlorine levels assaulting them, and the water being undrinkable - I NEVER notice a chlorine smell. Ever. My friend stayed in my house while I traveled and she commented on how much nicer it is to shower at my house than her rental, and how much nicer her hair comes out, because my water doesn't have the chlorine. This year, at changing time, I thought I caught a slight whiff of chlorine just before I changed the filter - telling me that my annual change-out is right for my usage level. The old filter was rusty looking - so I know it was taking out more than just the chlorine. I am very happy with this product.

Drop in replacement. A lot cheaper than what the service company wanted.

Does a good job

Well, it has not leaked. And everything seems to be functioning properly. The length was identical but the diameter is about almost a 1/4” smaller than the original. I don’t feel that is a problem I guess time will tell. I am so far very happy with the purchase. Really I can’t taste any difference. So that should be a good thing. Everyone who tries our water says it tastes different than their regular tap water and they like it. So somethings working. 🙂 I will update in a month.

Been purchasing these filters for years. The rated working pressure has reduced from 115PSI to 100PSI. Perhaps not at the fault of the supplier but the manufacturer of the filtration media. This info should be added by the seller to the listing. Time will tell on how long this filter will now last.

I bought it because I was fed-up to smell the H2S gas in my water. The level is low, but noticeable. I installed this filter and after four months it works perfect. No smell at all. I will update this post when I will have to change the filter.

Well, I am replacing a Pentek carbon cartridge. First impressions: good flow, low pressure drop, well built. Will have to see how long it lasts, but so far, pleased with the great value. Wish they made a clear big blue with 1 inch openings - need a bunch of those! cartridge is recommended (on little experience I have so far - a week).
