All these paints are great to use

Colours are lovely with a lot of pigment but no glitter showing at all. Might be there is more as you work down into the block of paint. Not sure I would buy it again though. Other metallic watercolours are better for special effects.

Was unsure whether to buy this or not given the mixed reviews and should have taken them on board. There is very little glitter in the end result, slightly more if you add a second coat, but it is virtually non-existent. The paint is gel-like and a bit sticky and comes in the basic colours of red, orange, yellow, dark green, turquoise, purple and silver and gold. The silver and gold are particularly disappointing and are very dull with no glitter, you would be better to use iridescent medium instead, but the brush was OK. Having said all that, the paints would probably be OK for a child and at the end of the day, what do you expect for that price?!

I love Giotto watercolours - the colours are very vibrant and easy to apply. However, the Glitter version is not for me, there is hardly any glitter when applied and I didn't like the texture very much.

So these paints are ‘gel’ like - the first time you use them the colour pay off may be weak if you don’t go at it with the brush a bit. The paint is fab, glitter pay off not over the top not underwhelming - doesn’t bleed through paper and if when you paint it is quite concentrated it will have a slightly tacky finish however this does not cause pages to stick together. The silver in person looks quite green but does come out silver. All in all it is very good. I use it for journaling. The only bad thing is the brush; I don’t reccommend it as the hair comes right out if you so much as look at it.
