Gummy mess
First off, this is not a complete kit. You still have to purchase the clear powder coating. I was very excited to try the powder polish but the base coat (step 1) arrived a gummy mess and smells like epoxy. Very disappointed especially for the price. Not sure if it's old stock or knock off.

Madam President is the berry red I’ve been looking for!
Almost everything you need to do your own dip nails! I just wish they would also include the clear powder in these starter kits! That’s the only reason it gets 4 stars. Otherwise I love it! Madam President is the Berry Red color I’ve been looking for! I’ve been getting dip nails for about 5 years at the nail salon, so with this lockdown I found a YouTube tutorial (I had most everything else from other random kits) and figured “why not!” For $40 (what I pay anyway at the nail salon) I’ll either become my own nail tech or start bringing my own color. There’s definitely a finesse when you file, and I’m not the best with my non-dominant hand but using my dominant hand was much more successful. The OPI YouTube tutorial I followed made the entire process very easy. There was also a tutorial for removing dip nails (way gentler than what any salon would do) and tips for what to do if “fill in the blank” happens. I’ve only done my nails once as of this review and so far they’re holding up great. The key is to finds a good tutorial and watch it multiple times making certain you completely understand the process, then have all your tools & supplies laid out, take your time, don’t rush, follow each step precisely, you only get better the more you practice. Oh and always start on your pinkie nail, if you mess up it’s least noticeable.

Meh
Base coat had something wrong with it. The brush would not come out and once I did get it out the entire thing clumped up. Tried it out anyways and distorted the color of the powder. I'll be buy a new base coat and trying it again. Just disappointed that I spent the extra money for OPI.

Bad chemical reaction
I suffered from a chemical reaction using this product. Within 2 min, the product was causing my fingers to burn. It was hard getting the polish off my nails and around my nails because it hardened like cement. I was left with blisters around my nails on the skin and cuticles and a painful burn.

DYI Manicure
I really like this product, i love the DYI manicure & honestly this is really simple. Took me 2-3 tries to get the paint right, if you put too much its too think, too little than its too thin.My nails usual last 7-10 days but i dont use the clear and only do 2 coats applied on my natural nails and easy removal. Also surprisingly doesnt damage my actual nail. I would definitely recommend.

Base
This is strictly for the base coat, it is way too thick, after the second use the bottle doesn’t close, the brush got stiff, and the polish looks like a ball of glue. It is very expensive, it was a waste of money, I DO NOT recommended. 👎

Not a good product.
I received my product in the mail and was super excited. However, the first time I used it the step 1 applicator brush fell off of the tip. Then the top coat brush bristles started sticking together. All within the first time use. I attempted to contact the seller to do a return and was told it may take up to 48 hours, which would have been fine but it’s been 3 weeks and nothing. So I have a product I cannot use and no communication on the sellers side. Would not recommend for purchase.

Wrong
I did get product just not all the product shown. I wanted the set, dip powder and the 3 nail steps: base, activator, and protector. I just got the dip powder, so I can not even do anything with the powder now. VERY bummed..
