Benadryl lists its active ingredient as Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg. Basic Care Allergy Relief medicine lists it's active ingredient as Diphenhydramine HCl Tablets, 25 milligrams. Benadryl charges an immoral price for its diphenhydramine HCl. I've been taking the generic for years with the same physical result that Benadryl gives and a mighty boost to my pocketbook by not choosing Benadryl itself.

I've been getting same thing at dollar tree for $1 for years !!! why are they charging so much more ? price gouging ?

Because you get 400 in a bottle. Dollar Tree only gives you 5-10 In a bottle.

This is good for minor seasonal allergies. You have to take it about every 4 hours, however, so it does not last all day.
