This is the finest of translations and crossreference system. Nicely bound. Consider if other options suit you better, eg red letter, different size or binding. Then buy a Thompson that suits you. This one suits me very well.

Thompson Chain reference bibles are wonderful bibles, but the quality of construction could be better. I find that more expensive Cambridge bibles are more well made and last longer. If you absolutely need the Thompson Chain refererence system, then go with this bible. If you want a quality King James Bible, then go with the more expensive Cambridge bibles. A good Cambridge to consider is the Personal Concord Bible. It's only £40.00 and it made of genuine French Morocco leather and is well constructed. At the back of the bible is a wealth of resources, but once you've read the archaeological supplements you will find that you're carrying around extra pages that you don't really need. The TCRB is a fine example of American craftmanship, but I feel that Cambridge bibles are much better for the money.
