I bought this thermometer a while back and when I went to use it... it wouldn't turn on. I contacted the company via email and was promptly sent another one. Maybe the batteries died, I'm not sure. Customer service was excellent and also funny... 5 STARS... you're my fave person! LOL. Anyway, I started using the thermometer only the other day on my pregnant girl (dog). I also bought the iProven Disposable Probe Covers and these work perfectly together with a little petroleum jelly to get a good temperature reading. I will admit it's not the fastest reading thermometer, however it is so small that it doesn't bother my girl to wait for the beep when it has reached temp and I think it is accurate. I have a larger sized thermometer, but I feel better using this one for her since she's only about 10lbs.

Puppy got sick and it was nice to find a thermometer for dogs to check temp. We also got the covers from the same company. Fast delivery and great value.

I purchased this when I felt like my older thermometers weren't accurate anymore. It definitely registers different temperature (better) than my old ones so that is confirmed. Easy to use and read. A few things tho - it doesn't beep to let you know it's ready to take a temp and the display doesn't show you anything until it registers a temperature. At first I thought it wasn't broken but thats just how it works.

Bought this several months ago when my pup started having some health issues. Wanted to test the item fully before leaving a review. It has not given me an accurate reading and the last two times I've taken my dogs temp it took about a minute for it to only reach 100.2. This is very low in a normal dogs temp and it was later confirmed by vet that she had a fever. This is super disappointing considering I can no longer return and it could make many people think their dog is fine when they are not. Save your money!
